>always lower level than everyone else despite working 10x harder
>now that he is an adventurer, he is the highest level of the scrubs
You know you love him.
he probably saw some powerlevelers when it still was a game and now hes bugabusing to hell and back to speedfarm
He could be 80 next week if the other scrubs wouldnt hold him back
>nobody made a thread for today's episode
>the only thread on the catalog can't be found with keywords
Is this how it ends? With everyone dropping it because of Scrub Horizon, even though the arc about them in S1 was so good?
To be fair, Isuzus music is at the moment the biggest annoyance. Rudi is as arrogant as ever. Serara is fucking disgusting. Minori wants to be someone else and not herself. Tohya is okay. The only party member carrying this whole thing is Roe2 right now.
I like it. I skip the threads because they're annoyingly full of people who think their opinions are fact.
That scene when Isuzu talked with her dog at night in the previous episode was pretty good.
Remember when everyone on /a/ (except SAO dumbshits) enjoyed LH
Even without DEEN, the material hasn't been as entertaining in the volumes adapted by the second season. The QUALITY certainly doesn't help though.
Though I still look forward to it every week, but not as much as I used to.
The pacing overall has been atrocious and the source material hasn't been as interesting either.
We essentially got
>Akatsuki moping for way too long
>Raid was decent but on entire episode for the speech was pushing it
>China arc was a retarded move compressing an entire volume to a single episode
>Scrub Horizon is going nowhere fast and the song wasn't good to begin with.
Things like the Odyssey Knights are a neat concept and it's interesting to see things like the PotL developing powerleveling strategies, I'm just waiting for it to happen to people and places that matter.
There's something special about it anyway. Even though the series is full of faults, it does one thing very, very well - putting across that these people are pioneers. I can't think of anything in recent memory that's done that. This is a new world with new rules and these fortunate souls got to go there. Well, it's a living hell for some of them, but that's life on the frontier.
If you work hard all your life you MIGHT be able to send your kids to space, but Earth's frontiers are exhausted.
I liked Scrub Horizon this episode, it made them more relatable as characters, and while Isuzu's definitely not a skilled musician
clearly that's on purpose, it's sort of pleasant to have something other than mood music in the show.
It was better for it to be one awesome edge-of-your seat episode than for it to have an entire episode for a Leonardo speech and action spread out so much we forgot it happened.
Let me summarize the list of LH S2 topics for you
>Akatsuki a shit
>why her titties so big
>post that one gimmick cameo character that you really want to come back
>Rudy best scrub
>why scrub horizon a shit
>real life looks fucking scary
It always was or at least the LN's were, it's weird seeing what they try to do to make the show more kid friendly but it was clearly never intended for kids they may have gotten rid of the implied rape but the suicide cult plays too major role to write out of the story.
Hardcore or just low level idiot if he got killed like that.
He's so happy to die and
see his familiy again for a short moment
Can you imagine what it would be like to be stuck in a game if you aren't some virgin NEET loser?
There was another anon who picked up the translations on their blogspot when skythewood stopped, but I can't remember what the site was.
I guess it'd be pretty terrible if your life was actually good.
If they die enough times they'll forget what they're missing.
Season 2 has been pretty underwhelming to me at least. And it's not just DEEN's fault.
Seeing odyssey knights get attacked by minami summon, who supplied them with the portable cathedral? the genius? Or minami faction just want the extra exp killing them by supplying it? I really hope that they finish their quest soon and probably get roe2 in touch with shiroe.Im hyped as fuck to see LH future development.
Akiba is fucked. They simply can't muster the manpower Minami can. The guilds who aren't big on fighting are crafting and being bitches while DDD is in freefall and Black Sword Knights are tiny ass group. Round table just doesn't actually have unity, authority and manpower required to fight Minami.
You shouldn't be allowed to post pictures of Mondaiji with the phrase "season 2" in the comment.
I'm not even entirely sure what the hell was going on with those nightshade summons. The exp that they gain goes back to the summoner which is pretty simple, but what the fuck did she mean by granting Landers temporary immortality?
I think the landers connected to the machine control the summons directly so they can experience getting killed but actually no harm to their real body. The machine and lander are necessary for long range operation, kinda like a predator drone.
The Lander's minds take over the Summons while they are on a safe location, so even if the Summon gets killed, the Lander can take over another one and go fight again, thus they do have some temporary immortality.
I just don't get why they were attacking the Knights in the first place.
The landers get control of a summon, they receive all the exp made by that summon without needing to leave the safety of the train. They are temporarily immortal because the summon can die over and over again and they suffer no repercussions
The Minami landers seem to dislike Adventurers overall and seeing a group like the Odyssey Knights that actively try to die is just rubbing it in their face.
Mizufa sees Adventurers as a resource and if their trying to die anyways might as well leech experience from them. I can't see Minami remaining the powerhouse that it is, eventually the internal conflicts will boil over.
Maybe they don't have control over the ghosts? Which don't look precisely like player summons by the way (although they were summoned by someone), everyone was reacting to them as if they were normal monsters.
While the red head lander definitely hates adventurers there was also that green haired elf guy who was in charge of the guards I think that really seemed to hold adventurers, particularly Nureha, in very high esteem
Cant wait to see if the landers manage to steal away some power leveling items made by adventurer and create their own army that can go toe to toe with adventurers, purging minami of adventurers and spreads.
Nureha wants Shiroe's dick and is being bullied by Intix to be a puppet matriarchal leader. Intix's goals are unclear but from what little I've gathered she caused a big rift in the debauchery tea party back in the day.
I'm going to briefly entertain this conversation of capitalist society over worker bee autocracy.
Akihabara is working up the tech tree at a slower pace because of its decentralized government. The greater emphasis on cultural evolution and the average citizen also places greater societal emphasis on the welfare of the individual over the welfare of the state. Although Akihabara in comparison is a city that is found lacking in many things, its cultural uniqueness and modern societal values in the rights of the individual have helped construct a communal identity in which its inhabitants can believe in, support, and fight for.
Minami is much farther along because its basically a Gulf state with near perfect authoritarian control. On top of the obvious, the "state" has the ability to coerce or even brainwash its inhabitants into subservience. What will happen over time is Minami will become a hyper advanced state with a state of the art army who have been 'programmed' to fight for the "state" to the death many times over.
The key similarity is that both states are susceptible to sabotage from within, as its neighbors have and will continue to find it easier to elect subterfuge over confrontation. The key difference is that, in the event that the state collapses, one society will be better able to handle a recovery better than the other.
To keep things short, by concentrating all powers in the "state", Minami is stuck in a do or die scenario. Should the head of the state ever disappear or collapse, the state will be crippled. Its people will be unable to salvage it, as they will either be unwilling or incapable of repairing the damage. In comparison, Akihabara's government and societal structure are intentionally designed to deal with such scenarios in the eventual case of severe stress or outright war with its neighbors. Minami's legacy depends on how long its house of cards will stand, while Akihabara's legacy is an investment of time.
Hopes and dreams, crushed.
I honestly dont think that the author thought that far. It's way more likely that in the one city, there was/is someone who wants (and got) power and in the other there wasn't.
Akiba already instituted community outreach programs to train and equip its citizens. The nearby conflict areas with the trolls and the sea creatures will only serve to strengthen the population over time. Seeing as the greatest existential threat to the population are standing armies, combat priorities should naturally shift from raid-centric guilds to state-centric armed services.
There is power in Akihabara but its decentralized. This confers a great advantage of freeing up council leaders for expeditions while governance of city functions rotates to present incumbents. Ideally, the Akihabara government should transition to a Congress in the long term as both adventurer and lander populations increase over generations so that power and representation is further diffused into committees and executive organizations.
Based on how video game developers work I am seriously doubting they're in a real world. Otherwise ET devs would have had godlike powers developing a fucking video game and we get into a silly as hell parallel world situation where all the worlds exist and then randomly these people get into one.
This season has been so crap because of the art direction. Like realistically. The old one had character, and feeling. So when the princess got up on the stage it was accentuated telling the viewer to whip out their dicks.
Also, the character developement has been ass. There is never a really pivotal moment seemingly. People come in and out of importance without being resolved.
Well Mamare is into politics and economy. Who knows, he might have actually thought that far ahead. Seeing as how Akihabara has managed to further strengthen its foundation throughout the series. Also, remember that the supposed "leader" of Akihabara is Krutsy and that he's gone but you can see that Akihabara still manages to function properly and slowly develop while Nureha's disappearance and incompetence must always will be kept a secret from Minami.
Although yeah, Krusty's disappearance might lead to the disbanding DDD.
Nureha slutted her way into the pockets of nobles and used it to buy most of the city. As opposed to Akibahara who needs to live off it's very low taxes all of Minami's development and expansions are funded by the noble landers. It's not quite infinite funds but it might as well be.
Akiba isn't a democracy or representative in any real sense. It's a guild oligarchy where not a single lander representative is in the council despite landers being third of the population in Akiba.
There's stupid fucks like Soujiro and Marielle sitting there just because they of nepotism.
In addition, Akihabara devotes more resources towards consumer goods and comforts. They're the ones who pioneered the boom in tasty food for starters, and probably have the biggest market in sourcing and distributing cooking ingredients by now.
Black Sword Knights and West Wind Brigade are still going strong.
Honesty are backstabbing cunts, sure, and D.D.D. is learning that even though Krusty did jack all to run the guild, having him as a figurehead was pretty necessary. But they're not out yet.
It's a shame Nyanta doesn't get out more. Isn't he supposed to be ranked as the third best player on the server, or something? Right behind Krusty and Isaac?
They way DEEN butchered NEEThime is unforgivable
>There is power in Akihabara
yea. but i said 'someone' as in 'a specific person'
For example: Hitler was someone who wanted power.
>long term as both adventurer and lander populations increase
You sure that they can get kids?
(If a pure adventurer child dies, what happens? What does it see? And what do the Landers see, for that matter)
Akiba is actually in really really deep shit since Krusty's disappearance is collapsing DDD and Isaac is leading expedition in the very northern reaches of Honshu against gobbo king.
They have no army or leaders against Minami, just a bunch of faggot crafters seriously entertaining the idea of forcibly taking money from the haves to have nots for keks.
Its indirect representation through the guild system, a self styled republic so to speak. The guilds act as municipality governments (and some of them do own their own parts of the city) and the guild leaders are beholden to the guild members. The representative nature of the guilds haven't not changed, and guild power struggles are still possible in the Akihabara dynamic. In turn, other guild leaders that are council members have informal veto powers over the others - which is ultimately a good thing.
For example, the nepotism leaders you cited are more well versed in cultural or societal topics than the other leaders, who preside over issues of industry and defense. Although it seems imbalanced due to scales of power and influence, the system also keeps the powerful in check and lends versatility to the council itself.
It's been explained in previous threads, but basically.
Inctis used to be Kunia, the chief strategist of DTP. She also super-roleplayed as Kanami's maid, even dressing as one. She was extremely concerned with DTP's reputation and accomplishments, while Kanami just wanted to have fun. She was also lesbianing hard for Kanami (whenever they met up in real life, Inctis refused because it wasn't Kanami alone, and she also refused to let anybody see what she actually looked like, only ever communicating by voice or webcam with the camera pointed away from her).
She had a massive hate-on for Shiroe when Kanami asked him to join her, because Shiroe pretty much supplanted her as chief strategist, and she insulted him continually.
Then, when Kanami moved to Europe and DTP dissolved, Inctis went completely off the rails, and decided that because Kanami had "betrayed" her, the only appropriate solution was to completely destroy any legacy DTP ever had, and shit all over Kanami's accomplishments in the process. And fuck up Shiroe while she's at it, because she still hates his guts.
tl;dr crazy, psychotic, yandere, lesbian, bitch.
>They have no army or leaders against Minami, just a bunch of faggot crafters seriously entertaining the idea of forcibly taking money from the haves to have nots for keks.
Which is probably where Scrub Horizon eventually comes in to rock the boat. Whatever, its not like a capitalist supplier has not bounced back from a conflict with a military powerhouse - just look at
So they would not be godlike for creating a totally real-feeling virtual reality where even flavor text and NPCs suddenly develop cohesive story?
Even if it's fake it's beyond any technology, so either theories are absurd.
Marielle and Crescent Moon actually have a lot of Landers. Maybe not in the guild itself (since Landers can't join guilds, it being an Adventurer thing), but definitely associated with them.
>With everything that's been happening to Akiba, I can't see how they'll manage to properly defend themselves when Minami invades
Akihabara is already a post-apocalytic style city. Any invasion of the city proper would turn into Vietnam.
I like Nureha but she fucking needs more screentime and do other things besides pretending to be an NPC.
Her character screams "I have a story to tell" but this whole time I'm being cockteased by that.
Every week for me it's "Will Nureha do something interesting this week? No? Fuck. Well, let's see if she will do anything interesting next week."
>Read the LN.
Ain't nobody got time for that nigga.
>anon, how can a whore be Shiroe-like?
The LN fags from last season told be she was supposed to be super smart and strategic. but I've yet to see any of that.
Yeah the issue was that they introduced her at the end of the first season and made it pretty ominous, like holy shit we have our first true bad guy.
But nope, 19 episodes in and she has done fuck all and most of heR appearances have been cosplaying as a lander.
Talk about wasting potential. But I feel that about most characters in plant jaden smith
>Why do you want to lvl up the lander, why not the adventurer
Minami's is as is now because of the money from Lander nobles. Basically, it's like some sort of trade for allowing Nureha and the other adventurers to use their money.
>More Mana than HP
Dude, he's like a Tarutaru.
I can't be the only one that realizeses that Nureha is a powerless, pretty figurehead to the evil maid elf, right? Intix is the real villain and I can't wait to see her actually do something other than bullying sluts and drinking wine in poorly-lit rooms
You an pretty much everyone else knows, it couldn't have been made more obvious.
Too bad she has even less screen time than nureha, if you haven't read you wouldn't even know anything about her sans her being a bitch
She doesn't have a shota fetish, she's just subtly trolling Shiroe's scrubs, for heaven knows why, instead of doing something productive, such as stealing Shiroe away from Akatsuki whom I've come to feel nothing for.
>Shiroe, become mine.
>But I can be anyone else you want, such as your enemy.
Being Nureha is suffering.
Also, Shiroe you're an ass you know that? This is why only boring girls like you.
>It's a shame Nyanta doesn't get out more.
It's a shame the viewpoint doesn't follow him more. He's been doing all kinds of research in the background. Remember early in the season when he was making sure his item got crafted with a specific flavor text? Nyanta's going back to his family, and he's going to do it proper.
>Make max character amount per account
>Get pulled into Elder Tale
>Become the Haremmaster
>you'll never be absorbed into a fantasy world with an opposite sex version of yourself
It hurts to live. I'd fuck the shit out of myself.
especially if the genders were swapped
Kinda interesting to see the Odyssea Knights having somewhat sympathetic motives.
From their description I read on the various LH-threads and the first minutes of their fights against the wyvern, I thought they were just gonna be a bunch of unsympathetic assholes who get mentally more unhinged from all the death and dying.
Now, they're still all that, but their desire to want to return and see the old world through death is something I can understand and empathize with.
>Now, they're still all that, but their desire to want to return and see the old world through death is something I can understand and empathize with.
Only a complete
normalfagwould empathize with them
>Muh 9 to 5!
Minori is fucking ugly
>Nothing wrong with being that
