You know they outsource all their backgrounds right? Usually to places like Studio Easter, Studio Blue or Bamboo.
>>
Wow, have you never traveled around your home country?
>>
>>121204188
Don't do that shit man. We are all glorious white brethren.
>>
>Can't have nice scenery in the US.
C'mon, son. Every time I got the the Southwest I see some great views. Some more deserty than others. Colorado is nice too.
>>
>>121204053

You should probably try leaving your basement. The US has crazy awesome landscapes. So does Canada which is right next door.
>>
>>121204053

You haven't been around then. The North American continent is arguably the most geographically varied and interesting continent in the world if you look around at actual places and not cities.
>>
>>121204053
You've never even seen pictures of Washington State, let alone been here, have you? The Olympic Coast, Mount Rainier, is none of this getting through to you?
>>
>>121205217
That is all they have. Canada is a resort country. Produces literally nothing but raw resources and unemployed graduates. Please I beg you, don't come to Canada. Save your soul.

That's pretty generic (doesn't scream Japan). For scenery porn that's pure Japan, check out Hanasaku Iroha.

That's racist yo.

Rural Japan has bugs you would normally only ever see in a horror movie about the dangers of radiation. And they all come inside your house/apartment during the spring and summer because Japanese building standards are complete shit, and there is no insulation or sealing of any kind in the walls and foundations to keep critters from crawling through the cracks into your home (the energy bill is also super high).

And the bugs aren't harmless either, enough of them are poisonous that the Japanese practice insectiphobia because it's common sense over there.

Yeah, it would be so great to live there.

I don't think it would be much worth it. For one thing, good luck finding traces of anime in rural Japan. You're not likely to find much.

If you're gonna get something with filling, at least go for Canadian maple.

I was driving through the Smoky Mountains a while back and saw that same landscape probably 15 times op.

Only if you live in Kyushu or some other hellhole. Anywhere north of Tokyo you'll be fine. Except for the gigantic grotesque cicadas dying en masse in late August.

I think you mean Australia. Frankly, counting Africa is cheating because it's a massive continent that varies wildly in climate, and is technically only really separated from Eurasia by a canal. But pretty much every habitable island has at least some freaky shit on it. Japan is mostly temperate so it gets spared all the super freaky shit, but it's still an island, and Honshu is a pretty big one at that. That's the way evolution goes. Suzumebachi are relatively rare in urban areas, but there are flying cockroaches nearly the size of your fist everywhere. Japan doesn't actually have that many venomous species though, relatively. Generally you want to go tropical for that.
>>
>>121208498
I always had a theory that all the huge radiation bugs from Nausicaa were based on actual Japanese insects.
>>
>>121208498
Japanese hornets are pretty freaking awesome, but yeah, they are pretty much our only amazingly dangerous creature. We got nothing on Aussies.

We did have wolves back in the days, but they went extinct. And crescent moon bears are awesome, but they got nothing on grizzlies.
