When did Berserk peak for you?
For me it's got to be Albion/Conviction arc

Probably my favorite arc was Golden Age. But I'd say overall I really liked everything much more before Guts really had a party. I enjoyed the dynamic of Guts being an asshole and Puck trying to do damage control for him. I also love the crude beginning of Berserk where he's in that dark ass city and he tells some girl to kill herself. What a fucking badass.
Guts looks really weird at this point. I don't like his look.

He seemed very concerned about his own well being when they were throwing knives at him in the first volume. He has also been shown to feel physical pain on a few occasions when someone holding him squeezed him too hard. Then there is also that flower fairy from Guts' childhood that seemingly died when her flower was picked. I'd say that Puck can definitely be killed.

I was so excited to finally see the original Gatsu back again. Still filled with rage and vengeance. And the arc itself was very good. Even that "fairy" girl wannabe was an awesome character.

Same. The Lost Children arc was truly something special. It's a shame Miura seems to have forgotten that chaotic aspect of Berserk over the years.
I enjoyed the justifiably edgy Guts, but his character progress made sense.
The rage and vengeance is still there. Its just pushed down for the sake of Casca and his new friends. The idea of a Guts who can't tell friend from foe is very interesting. I think the ultimate conflict (if it ever gets to that point) will be to weigh this newfound sense of trust against his need for revenge.
