Tsukihime is the story of Shiki. If you take him out, you don't have Tsukihime anymore.
Fate is just the concept of the Holy Grail war, and you can do stuff like CCC or Apocryphra with all new characters, so it's a lot easier to milk.
In like 5 years they'll do Tsukihime as movies, but how many anons will even be around to see it then? How many will have died of despair waiting?
I feel bad for Mahoyo because it looks like no one paid attention to it and it was overshadowed by Fate.

Yeah, I haven't even touched Tsukihime because I know it'll be too outdated for me to take it seriously and I know there's a remake in the works. Sucks that I have to abandon Fate threads a lot because they turn into Tsukihime wankfests that I don't want to get spoiled from.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't KnK and Mahoyo follow from Tsukihime as well? I saw in the description of one of them that it was set after Tsukihime or something, so I've been avoiding those too
