I finally realized why I liked the director so much.
He's Madarame who has grown up, got fat, and became an anime director. They share the same goddamn voice actor and it took me this long to realize that the main(though not only) reason Shirobako reminds me so much of Genshiken is because the director sounds just like Madarame when ranting about otaku stuff.
