Chimera ants started out okay enough, but once they met knuckle and shoot and everything went all DBZish was when it started going downhilk for me. Ecpecially when they introduced meruem(cell). I finished that arc even though it fucking killed me and it was so boring it actually became demoralizing, and i had just about enough.
I absolutely hated the chimera ant arc when I first read it because i followed it weekly. Reread the whole thing when it was complete and thought it was really great.
There's a lot of weird shit in that arc and it's not for everyone's tastes, that's for sure.
