I finished the true route few days ago and the anime is exactly the same ending. But the feels playing it and some scenes that you can do that arent in the anime adaptation that give a "plus" on it. The visual novel is better, because the animation is like a complementary thing. I watched it few years ago and I'll rewatch it. You should watch the animation before playing it because you'll start to search details and comparing things. But both are amazing.

Suzuha's route is the least fulfilling one. All other routes (minus the true one obviously) are "bad" endings, but they actually end the story.
That being said, read the VN to the end, and make sure to do at least Faris' route on top of the true one. It's the 2nd best one IMO.

that's a paradox... because if you watch it before you'll know how it truly ends... if you play it before you'll know how it ends and the scenes that are only in the game so the animation will be useless... for me the effect wasnt this negative as I said before because I loved this masterpiece that Steins;gate is.
