When did /jp/ split off /a/ again? I first started coming on 4chan around that time, I mostly just hung out on /b/ out of morbid curiosity.
Then I tried /a/, didn't like the experience, and stayed on /jp/ for a couple years until recently when the catalog got integrated and made browsing faster boards comfortable.

I think I came to this site after a friend showed it to me (who still browses 4chan as well), I never thought I'd actually see the day when moot would step down as head admin of the site.

I stayed because of the TTGL madness around 2007 and I will be extremely sad to have to up and move elsewhere.

Heard of /b/ and it's reputation in 2009 when I was a regular onthe Minecraft Forum, checked out /a/ in 2010/11. I was scared at first as I was underage then, and didn't really understand all the jokes and nuances, but I remember wanting to fit in so I stayed quiet and stuck around.
I finally thought I fit in and started posting then immediately got a 2 month ban, I didn't know how to reset it because of a Static IP and decided I'd just morally wait it out. I had a lot of fun with you all, the /ak/ people in particular. A lot of angry, frustrated, tearful, happy and blissful emotions have been spent with you all and I don't think I could have spent my High School years better. You all felt like genuine people, not personas, and that's something that the world is missing. For better or worse, /a/ has helped turn me into the person I've wanted to become. I have a goal and purpose in life and /a/ played it's part in manifesting it.
