You could always try ぼくは異世界で付与魔法と召喚魔法を天秤にかける (I compare Buff Magic with Summon Magic in Another World).
It has a pretty detailed RPG-based magic system, and the protag even has strengthening magic. He tests it early on by punching a tree, and it turns out the buff magic still isn't good enough to make a tree budge.
Only complaint with the series is how condensed it is. Entire thing takes place over 4 days so far and it has so much fucking happening in it that it's ridiculous.

Anyway, I feel that it is a male power fantasy because Ainz is overpowered from the get go. Level capped at 100. He also has a harem as well as a legion of absolutely loyal subordinates. He doesn't need to conquer any waifu, they are just waiting for spread their legs as soon as he said the word. He can't die, he has tons of pay to win items that can revive the dead if he wants to. Nothing risk, nothing gained. It's fun to see what he does with all that, but I can only see Overlord as a shallow power fantasy.

While Daybreak on Hyperion has neat use of magic in warfare, I just couldn't stand its cringeworthy as fuck dialogue. I don't believe the Flying Spaghetti Monster/rebellious atheism ever reached much popularity in Japan. All the female characters speak like valley girls as well.
Also the characterization felt mediocre in many ways.
Kaede's supposedly Russian/Japanese, but he/she didn't even feel remotely like one, more like a spazzy American nerd. Does the author actually have such heritage because I really see no reason for this lineage besides the archery thing.
Runelord comes off as slightly autistic, but is overall sort of decent. He however doesn't have any particular flaws besides being a douche to even out his outstanding prowess in everything else. The douche flaw quickly goes away even since he learns to apologize by the end of the first book.
Also, the genderbending setting seems rather unnecessary. You have magical familiar summoning into a fantasy war setting, but then add genderbending I'm a female now drama. It doesn't seem like there'd be a huge difference if Kaede was just female to start with.
I'd personally just give it a C+. The main characters and the dialogues really do feel unbearable.
The whole assassination plot foiling also felt kind of stupid. You have these covert expert assassination squads, but it takes only slight effort to catch them off guard.

I suggest waiting until Overlord volume 3 is at least done because volume 2 cliffhanger at end is absolutely evil.
Coiling Dragon has literally 3 chapters-a-day update speed. So whatever you read once you get to its end, you'll always have new chapters waiting once you finish.

Is that true for the storytelling? I think the reason I liked MT so much was because of the depth of the story. It fleshes out every single one of the characters, and the fact that the author obviously knew where the story was going with throwbacks and plot twists to even the very beginning. That's a very hard thing to do without it coming off as "let's reuse this dropped plot point because I have no other ideas" as so many other stories do. I love when a story is well thought out like that. Not to mention I guess since it's the story starts since birth there's a ton of world and character building to do. It actually all makes sense.
