And the illuminati conquering the future and killing you in 15 years.

And possibly (but not likely) Suzuha.
And Mayuri is only a bad end if you think World War III sucks (you probably do).
And Faris end is a deep mystery, there's "something" wrong with the future but we don't know what or how far away it is.

Luka and Kurisu are absolute bad ends though.
>>
I've never fapped to Rukako or any other traps and I never will, but if I was in Okabe's position I'd probably fuck him anyway.

He's just too cute, and his love is too pure.

Honestly I'd be surprised if Suzuha and Faris weren't bad ends. Every non-true end in C;H was a bad end, so it'd make sense for S;G
>>
>>120049789

Faris is a meta-bad end, it's a situation where we know there are consequences but we don't know what the consequences are.
Suzuha's a shot-in-the-dark end that is probably a bad end but has the tiniest of chances to not be, so optimists can dream.

The whole compressing information using black holes, or treating the brain like a hard drive that you can copy data to or from electronically made no sense.

A female Ruka would have to be the product of a different sperm cell, meaning she'd only be 75% genetically identical to the original. No way she'd have looked the same. But taking the science in SG seriously is a pretty bad idea in my opinion. Better to just pretend it's all magic and roll with it.

>or treating the brain like a hard drive that you can copy data to or from electronically

Now that's not too insane, actually. Transmission of memories through neuronal prosthetic silicon chips is a budding science that shows much promise, hopefully one day leading to being able to essentially download the complete memories of another (or backup all your own memories, in the case of patience with amnesia or alzheimer's).
Now, that's mostly theoretical at the moment as it's still developing science, and broadcasting that directly into the brain with a generic cell phone, however..

The visual cortex is much simpler and easier to undertand than say the hipppcampus. The brain does transfer information using electrical impulses, but memories are stored via synaptic connections between neurons. To rewrite someone's memories you'd need to somehow read what a brain's connections are and then reshape all those connections in the brain you're transfering data to.

(Again, though, at its most advanced stage it would still by physical memory, not something that could be transmitted by phone through time.)

>>
>>120055737
Okay it was a while ago that I read this but didn't Suzuha take it with her to the past, gave it to Braun to give it to Okabe? And it did end up changing?

And even if it doesn't work and really is just an arbitrary number then what is all the rack about the 1% divergence? If what you say is true there is no way to measure how big the divergence is.
>>
>>120055737
Don't make things up.
>>
>>120055840
The Past, Present and Future happen at the same time. The divergence meter never actively changes, he just moves to a World Line where it has a different number.
>>
>>120055934
That is bullshit. The meter would then have to "know" about the other worlds which is impossible.
>>
>>120055970
You're not getting it. Okabe makes the meter and programs the numbers in based on what he thinks has changed. They never actively change, they're just made differently in each World Line.
>>
>>120055840

Future Okabe of (nearly?) every single world line ends up making a divergence meter as a tool for his perfect reading steiner to utilize. It usually ends up in Suzuha's hands to bring back to his past self.

The first percentile marker is the only truly important one (excluding the Steins;Gate value specifically), as it calculates which attractor field the world is currently in. Far as we know, they range from -1% to 4%. The other numbers are minutia, how close or far from the attractor field walls the world currently is in.

>>120055970

Okabe is able to perceive all the world line changes with absolute clarity.
>>
>>120056013
It was never said that Okabe is the one who enters the value. For all we know, it may measure some sort of bullshit waves or something.
>>
>>120056001
Then the numbers wouldn't be changing when Suzuha took it back with her to the past unless future Okabe somehow visited her in the past to change it.

>>120056013
>Okabe is able to perceive all the world line changes with absolute clarity.

Which is kind of stupid in the first place.
>>
>>120056078
You're still not getting it.
In the new World Line, the number was already the new number before Suzuha took it to the past in the previous World Line.
>>
>>120056078

The numbers don't change in the past, ever. Only Okabe ever perceives a "change", and it's only whenever a world line shift occurs.
Suzuha spent her entire life wondering if the numbers on the meter changed. It is a useless trinket to anyone without Okabe's perfect reading steiner.
>>
>>120056098
No, you are not getting something here. I don't know what your idea here is but here is what I remember happening:

Suzuha travels to the "present" to find her daddy.
A bunch of bullshit happens, Suzuha eventually travels to the "past" and takes the divergence meter with her.
She failed her mission but gives the DM to Braun who gives it to Okabe in the present. The numbers changed.

As I said it is a long time ago I read this but the above is correct, yes? If so Okabe never had the chance to change the DM until Braun gave it to him again, yet the numbers changed. No matter what you say this is bullshit.
>>
>>120056192

In the new world line, when Okabe made the divergence meter, it showed a different value because he was in a different measurement.
The meter only ever shows one number. It never changes. What number it shows depends on what world line Okabe is currently in, because that's the number it will show when future Okabe makes it.
>>
>>120056192
That's because he doesn't change the Divergence Meter, it is always built once and never modified. But in each World Line it is built with a different number.
Let me put it to you this way.
Suzuha never saw the Divergence Meter change, she sat with it on her deathbed and wondered if it changed. Imagine she was sitting in World Line 0.337187%, but Okabe sent a D-Mail and suddenly she's in 0.409420% looking at it. From her perspective it never changed because it was always that number in that World Line.
Only Okabe can tell it has changed.

>>
>>120055195

>>
>>120056258
The DM has never been in Okabes hands in that time frame though. She took DM A with her to the past, it would still be DM A even after her time travel. Changing the world line would not change a number displayed on an object, unless someone manually changed said number. Okabe never had the chance to change it so it makes no sense that the number would change.

What is this bullshit about "suddenly she's in 0.409420% looking at it." It doesn't matter where she is, the DM would NOT change unless Okabe changed it. So either she received the DM from the future, or she changed it herself. The DM does NOT know it is in world 0.409420 unless it somehow reads all the world lines like Okabe does, but that would be some next level bullshit.
>>
>>120056352
You're not understanding. He already built it as it is in the future. What about this concept are you not grasping? It never changes, it gets built as it is in each World Line.

Okabe is the one who makes the damn thing, so of course he gets it in the future. He gets it before Suzuha ever touches the damn thing.

How many times do I have to repeat myself? SUZUHA TOOK THE DM WITH HER

SHE

TOOK

IT

WITH

HER.

Do you not understand the concept of taking something with her? Have you never left your house and took your fucking shoes with you? Are you retarded?

And even though she took the DM from another world line with her it ended up changing. Okabe put in the number A, yet it displayed number B when Suzuha took with her and traveled to another world line. Okabe did not do anything to interfere with this.
>>
>>120056535

>And even though she took the DM from another world line with her

Here's where you're getting it fucking wrong. You can't take items between world lines because world lines do not work like that. When the world line changes, the entirety of the past and future changes with them. Therefore when the line changes, Suzuha never had it with number A, she only EVER had it with number B.
>>
>>120056535
Suzuha never travelled to another World Line. What are you talking about? The only one that changed the World Line was Okabe.
What part of "The number was already set before she received it" do YOU not understand?
>>
>>120056587
No shit. That's why she knows that she won't see the difference
>>
>>120056587
>You can't take items between world lines

Bullshit, if you couldn't take items with you you could not time travel in the first place. How could you move your body across time but not an object? How can you take your clothes with you if you can't take objects?

Also even if it was true then Suzuha would not have the DM to give it to Braun, so present Okabe would have never received it. It makes absolutely no sense in whatever way you look at it and I do not understand how you can't realize that.
>>
>>120056769

Moving yourself across time changes divergence, and therefore all the consequences of changing world lines goes with you. If you have a ball that is only green in world line 1.111, and you time travel in a manner that causes it the world line to shift to 1.112, then your ball will have never been green even though you're still holding onto it. The past changes with the world line shift, this includes all the items you will ever interact with in your life.
Yes, this means if you time travel in a way that negates your own time travel, it means you never time traveled. This is exactly what happened to Suzuha of the beta world line when Okabe changed it to the Steins;Gate world line. The time machine he used ceased to exist because it doesn't exist in the world line he changed it to.

Your clothes will only come if you have the same clothes in the new world line.
>>
>>120056747
I think I replied to the wrong person.
>>120056535
Here, see the scheme
>>
Why are you trying to apply logic to this shit?

The divergence meter shows a different number depending on which timeline it is. The explanation on how it does that was never explained. Okabe Rintaro is the only person who can make use of that meter because he is the only person who remembers which number the meter had in other timelines.

As for Ruka I think it was clearly stated that his\her mother was already pregnant when they sent her the message to eat veggies. Which makes the sex change absolutely ridiculous no matter how much you want to rationalize it.

Horrible freak.
>>
>>120057143

Perhaps Luka's mother's new diet caused a genetic malfunction in the fetus?
>>
>>120057143
>The explanation on how it does that was never explained
Yes it was. They state in each World Line that Okabe built it.
>>
Look science;adventure isn't supposed to be rational, you aren't supposed to think it makes sense according to real life logic. It's like the movie Signs in that regard, it just takes the most ridiculous conspiracy theories, urban legend, rumors and shit and it makes it so that in that universe they all happen to be real.
>>
>>120057250
That means nothing, it was built every time under the same principle. Else there wouldn't even need to be some sort a device, he could have just written a number on a piece of paper.
>>
>>120057337

It might scan some sort of cosmic fundamental that Okabe doesn't have the means to observe. Nobody said the meter was just a number.
>>
>>120057189
What? You have absolutely no understanding of human genetics, do you?
>>
>>120057337
Yes, he could have. But he decided to do it on nixie tubes because they're flashy and cool. He likes them. It's harder to lose a nixie tube display than it is a scrap of paper, you understand?
>>
>>120057571

I mean only to perhaps wonder if it caused some sort of damage to allow Luka's Y chromosome to for some reason become nonfunctional, or otherwise behave as an X chromosome.
>>
>>120057337
The same principle is different depending on world line
>>
>>120057682
That's not possible. The closest thing to what you're describing is Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, but that doesn't result in a woman capable of reproducing, which Luka does.

Just saw a commercial of this movie on TV, doesn't it sound kinda like S;G?
>>
>>120057797

Perhaps some unknown phenomena in S;G's biology caused it then.
As it clearly operates on its own physics.
>>
>>120057850
Well yes. That is my point. The "science" in the series has little to do with our science.
>>
>>120057879

I meant regarding >>120057143 in that while it's not real science, it's not an illogical idea that diet could cause some unknown damage.
>>
>>120056878
>then your ball will have never been green even though you're still holding onto it.

This is only true provided you actually have the ball in the other world line.

Suzuha does NOT have a DM in the other world. She traveled to the past, only future Okabe will have the DM when he builds it. This leaves no explanation other than that Suzuha took the DM with her.

>Your clothes will only come if you have the same clothes in the new world line.

Exactly, and Suzuha certainly didn't have a DM in the past when future Okabe build it like 50 years after the time she arrived in.

Also it makes no sense that you can move your body, which is nothing more than a biological object, but not a chunk of wires. But that just on a side not.
>>
>>120058049
>Suzuha certainly didn't have a DM in the past when future Okabe build it like 50 years after the time she arrived in
Yes she did. What part of Past, Present and Future work in tandem do you not understand?
Hashida Suzu died and left the CRT Building to Tennouji Yuugo years before Amane Suzuha was born.
>>
>>120058087
>What part of Past, Present and Future work in tandem do you not understand?

A tandem is something where multiple things of whatever are lined behind each other. I have no idea what does have to do with our argument.

>Hashida Suzu died and left the CRT Building to Tennouji Yuugo years before Amane Suzuha was born.

That does have nothing to do with the argument either.

Suzuha travels back to 1975. THERE IS NO DM IN 1975 BECAUSE OKABE HAS NOT YET MADE IT. She still has one leaving no other explanation other than that she took the 0,3 one to the 0,4 world and it changed somehow.

And don't give me that bullshit about "it has always been there". What kind of dumb fuck is that? Is the DM a fucking eternal god who has been in the world before the planet earth even came into existence or what?

It is bullshit. I have no idea why everyone here is defending this blatant bullshit.
>>
>>120058049

>Also it makes no sense that you can move your body, which is nothing more than a biological object, but not a chunk of wires

You can take a physical item back with a time machine, but convergence will change what that item is in the same way convergence will change what YOU are if it has to.
The world line change you make through physical time travel will show up on you no matter what. This is why Okabe was on the top floor of the radio building with a bleeding chest even in the Steins;Gate world line. Convergence exploded all over his face to explain why he had that wound because it couldn't make it go away as it would result in a paradox.
>>
>>120058359

Okabe made the divergence meter in Suzuha's subjective past. When the world line changes, Suzuha's past changes with it. 2036 changes with the world line just as 2010 and 1975 do.
>>
>>120058359
>THERE IS NO DM IN 1975 BECAUSE OKABE HAS NOT YET MADE IT
Yes he has. Okabe made it before 2025, Suzuha travelled from 2036 WITH the Divergence Meter. From her perspective he already made it and left it to her, she took it with her and thus has it before he created it. Just as she's around before her own birth.
>>
>>120058414
>You can take a physical item back with a time machine, but convergence will change what that item is in the same way convergence will change what YOU are if it has to.

You make it sound like convergence is some sort of magic. As far as I understood it convergence is the result of changing events in the past and not some omnipotent god of time.

If you go back in time you change something which results the future to change it. This creates a new world line because you change the events occurring on a global scale, like cause SERN to take over the world. This is what convergence is from a logical approach. If it some sort of magic bullshit that somehow changes people and objects, when it should be people and objects changing time, then yeah it does make sense that she took object A with her and now has object B in her own timeline.

Maybe I took too much of a scientific approach to this anime. I am a physics major, I can't help but thinking about these things in a logical manner and not in a bullshit magic manner.

>>120058457
>Okabe made it before 2025, Suzuha travelled from 2036 WITH the Divergence Meter.

This is what I have been saying all along. Some faggot argued that you can't take objects with you in the past and that she "always had the DM". I don't even.
>>
>>120058649

>As far as I understood it convergence is the result of changing events in the past and not some omnipotent god of time.

Convergence is the property of an attractor field to resist changes to itself. Think of it as bullshit time homeostasis.

Minor changes will have identical results because of it. Nothing Okabe ever does prevents himself from making the divergence meter and giving it to Suzuha, so she always ends up receiving it in nearly every world line, as that result converges. Changing the object (the value shown on the divergence meter) doesn't change the fate the object will undergo, so Suzuha receives it without realizing it is a different divergence meter, as only someone with perfect Reading Steiner will remember such a minute detail.
>>
I want to tenderly love Ruka.
>>
>>120058049
You can't take anything through world lines, period. If you go through world lines, you end up in a world line where you'd be there anyway.
If you have item X and go to a world line where item X does not exist, item X will vanish from your person. If you go to a world line where you don't exist, you will vanish.

So where do you think the Sci;Adv franchise will move from here?

A final showdown in which we rescue all those still being held by the committee?
Or do you think we will have the final takeover of the 300 and the toppest of top secret projects will be revealed?
>>
Is the VN worth it?
>>
>>120061970
Yes.
Go read Chaos;Head before though.
Then read Steins;Gate.
Both are good VNs on their own, but you get to enjoy the Sci;adv series to the max if you read them in order.
Regrettably Chaos;Head Noah isn't translated (yet) and Love Chu Chu has no translation too.

Whatever you do, DON'T watch the C;H anime.
Avoid it at all costs, it butchered the atmosphere, the characters and the story.
It inserted filler even though it was only 12 episodes long and cut out the best scene in the Visual novel.

Takumi is a fucking hero.

Yes, Neidhardt is interacted with in an Eso 2 chat in the Hana route.
