First TV series is solidly decent at worst and absolutely charming at best, though the second half is better than the first. Pros are its themes (the difficulty of communication, the importance of having something to fight for), stunning music, and the fight choreography. It's more symbolic than romantic. She's just some spark of light after her body was consumed by Aldnoah. That doesn't really speak highly of her survival chances or her relevance in this cour. How you think she'll awake and have a romance with Eggs when she's confirmed as only friend and she's in coma in both ED AND OP (or death in OP)? I don't know.
Meanwhile they invest time to make Inaho blush around Inko and tease her and act like actual dense romance protag while he's called an idiot. Remember Aoki said he's not quite sure if what he feels for Hime is romantic love and that the Salsa/Inaho speech to Slaine/Hime about war and hatred are meant to be parallels.

Slaine's the best possible hero face for the blue collar revolution. A Terran immigrant who was abused by the system yet he remained loyal and humble, a true patriot, while the majority of nobility except a few like Crouton (who recognized Slaine) just use it as lipservice to gather power and fatten up. Slaine's concerned about the poor and helpless of Vers and their future. Now wonder he's adored by the oppressed and low ranked soldiers, no wonder Lemrina, who feels castaway herself, fell for him.
Saucedick did a lot of wrongs, but he really hit goldmine by propping up his figure. The thing is that he now he is gathering reputation, if he is won by the UNDERSTANDING side, he can more effectively be used as example of "the best of yours is a Terran. So do you really hate Terrans?" question.
