I meant more in terms of ideology. Both HF Shirou and Shiki do whatever it takes to protect the people important to them. HF Shirou pretty obviously does that, but Shiki does as well. Shirou hasn't raped anyone because he doesn't have to deal with having crazy blood telling him to kill demons and sharing a mind with a demon and a vampire.

Maybe UBW anime takes place in the same alternate timeline that F/Z took place in. Nasu really has a hard on for alternate timelines at the moment as they allow for everything and nothing to be canon.
