While I'm interested in the movie reports already make it clear that retcons/ignores some of the progress in the manga itself. Really would have liked a scene or two of NH just hanging out together during down time or at least have Naruto make an off hand comment that he finds her attractive or such would really have help lay a bit more solid a base.

I long realized the manga had degraded and had only kept up with it out of habbit. In fact I was kind of shocked how I felt nothing for the end when it came. Everyone was gushing about their nostalgia but I really didn't feel anything short of the disappointment at how they resolved the Sasuke Issue. But even then we all new Kishi could never let him face consequences for any of his actions. That being the one thing he remained consistent in his writing.
All in all I simply feel disappointed something I had kept up with for such a long time ended the way it did but really outside of that minor regret I have kind of grown numb to the series and was hardly interested when it was actually still running.

I actually just recently started watching Naruto because Shippuden looks cool and I never watched it as a kid.
I always avoided Naruto due to the motherfuckers in high school who walked around in Naruto headbands making ninja signs and wanting to be Sasuke.
Looking back, I don't understand why people hated Naruto as a character (just because I didn't watch it doesn't mean I wasn't privy to a lot of retarded conversations). In a show full of people trying to be cool and just coming off as edgy faggots, it's nice to watch one guy who says fuck the bullshit, and charges in headfirst. He's like the ninja Leeroy Jenkins, and I find it hilarious.
