I've been listening to the Monogatari OPs in a playlist off and on for the past week or so.
My least favorite are Cat's, Crab's and Monkey's. Monkey's probably being the best out of that group. Staple Stable is just meh, Ambivalent World is kind of just there, and Sugar Sweet Nightmare is mediocre.
Moving onto decent songs, Kogarashi Sentiment was pretty good, but I don't particularly like the genre. I'd also put The Last Day of my Adolescence in this group.
Moving into the pretty good ones, we have pretty much everything else. Kaerimichi, though I liked it a lot, is probably at the bottom of the really good list.
The rest are kind of hard to put in order. Renai Circulation and Delusion Express have to be shipped as a pair. I think that contrast/similarity between the two is absolutely great. Another I'd pair in terms of how good they were would be Marshmallow Justice and Happy Bite. Happy Bite is probably better if only in terms of genre (that funky bass line). I want to say Platinum Disco takes the topmost slot, but to be honest, this whole top tier fluctuates for me.
I don't know where to place Orange Mint yet.

Like some anon mentioned earlier, the combination of Renai Circulation and Mousou Express is the ultimate OP.
Both are great songs, with fantastic visuals that represent the character and her arc very well.
Although if we're talking purely visuals, my personal favorite is Marshmellow Justice.

Nine times out of ten the only complaint I hear about Nise is that it's all fanservice. I'm convinced people only watched the episodes with Shinobu in the bath and the toothbrushing scene and ignored it introducing important characters like Kaiki and Kagenui.
I don't think it's the best Monogatari has to offer, but it's not so bad that it deserves to get singled out like it often does.

Araragi and Kanbaru's interaction during Nadeko's arc were God-tier. That being said, I started the series recently too, I'm on Hana.
Let's just that overall monogatari has its moments, but it isn't consistently good. Some characters do not make good/interesting protagonists at all.

The tone and animation slightly change from Bake and if you loved Senjougahara sorry she gets way less screen time, other than that it's absolutely worth watching.

What does that even mean? Most of the main characters are back from bake, they just add more. You mean you wanted them to cut out bee and snake entirely? They are important to the story and really their main problem is getting too little screentime not too much.

I don't understand the complaint. Over half of Episode 12 was about Ararargi and Hitagi in a car and it was the best one.

While there is some truth to what he's saying, if you are enjoying Bake you will enjoy the rest of it. I recently watched the whole thing for the first time, and then did a rewatch a few months after finishing it in anticipation of Tsuki coming out. Bakemonogatari is pretty much universally agreed to be the best season, but there wasn't a single arc I really disliked. Some are obviously better than others, but the tone, animation, and humor for the most part are at least comparable throughout. Again there are some fluctuations, but the general tone and "feel" of the series is constant. Unless you are some prude that has a real problem with the fanservice or a moralfag that can't stand any lewdness involving lolis, you will probably enjoy the whole series. Bake is still my favorite part, but on the whole it's all quite good. Definitely worth watching.

It's borderline pornographic, the aesthetics are weaker in my opinion, the characters, even the recurring characters feel much flatter. (Prime example is the brief moments of Crab at the beginning, changed from interesting complex character who likes to tease Araragi to psychopathic sadist handcuffing him to a chair and making him beg for water.) The dialogue, except with Mayoi, is less fun and bantery and more monologue-like as in the later seasons. Storylines are less engaging, which is really a minor issue in this case since the bread and butter of Bake was dialogue and art.

Thankfully, it's fine for me since I see that stuff all the time on /a/, but I fear that it's going to put my friends off watching it when I show them it, unfortunatly. I have a friend that is absolutely put off by fanservice stuff.
