Caster's summoner was kind of an idiot. Out of every noteworthy character in recorded history and myth, the fucktard chooses to summon the infamously untrustworthy Witch of Betrayal. He didn't just choose to summon a Caster, a Servant of the weakest Class, he summoned one that is specifically notorious for being a backstabbing cunt. There are a fuckload of better choices for a Caster, more powerful conjurers from myths and legends, but he chose a mediocre sorceress who made a name for herself by killing just about everyone who ever trusted her.
That's the kind of idiot that willfully summons a Caster.

To be perfectly honest, aside from the improved art and animation and run time, UFO's not really beating Deen in the story department.
Okay, so the source material -- FSN -- it's not Shakespeare or anything, but I think it's interesting, with pretty balanced dialogue and relationship shit. But pretty much these first 12 episodes were pretty bland in terms of interpersonal conflict. The most we saw was a little blushing, fist clenching, and gesticulating. I think the content in FSN could have been handled better.
Combat wise? Great. I'm hyped for Shirou vs everyfuckingthing, but I don't think the jackhammer scene and everything else not-combat-related is just going to be megaawkward just like Deen's shit.

This grail war is biased towards the three knight classes such that the three main families have a marked advantage over the riffraff such that it's essentially only a 3 way. High magic resist pretty much makes a servant immune to caster.
Of course hubris causes most of them to fail utterly anyway.

Well he was actually capable of holding his own against knight class servants (even berserker but he had caster helping him) unlike the true assassin, but I have a feeling that he would get screwed by "muh honour" (unless he was just acting that way because he was bored and hated caster). He would need a master that would make him obey because he didn't really look like he would have the guts to just sneak around in shadows and stab sleeping masters and if he went toe to toe with other servants he would eventually lose to some killing machine with better stats or NP.

Like others have said, his lack of an NP is going to be debilitating in the long run. If he had a proper magus as a master, like say the observer sent by the Association isn't killed by Bazett before he Kotomine killed her, he might be able to take out Rider and Shinji, and he'll hold his own against others, but his honor and lack of an NP will fuck him over in the end.

I'm not sure that catalysts really work that way. Shouldn't it be like an item the servant has a personal connection to? Like if you wanted to summon a red man with a fucking kitchen knife you would actually have to find a kitchen knife that HE used and not just pick one from your own house?

And especially against Kojirou, who has a strong spirit alignment, even if his heart is destroyed he still will have some fighting power left in him. Right in the interval after TA uses his Noble Phantasm, Assassin could close the gap and use Tsubame Gaeshi. Which means....it would be a draw since both of them would end up dead...?
Koijirou works under Earthbound rules, even if he's given a fatal hit he can keep attacking until the counter on his HP finally drops to zero. Unless the first strike makes him unable to move entirely.
