What novels would you like to see adapted into anime?
the alternating pretentious philosophizing and depraved sexual acts is tailored perfectly for the medium of anime
Heart of Darkness, not some shitty anime that rips it off. Something that's fucking true to the story.
No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai was a pretty good animated version of the book given they had only 2-3 episodes to work with. It's a fucking shame that Kokoro wasn't as good.

don't know if it counts as a "novel," but this shit was my child hood. would make a great adaptation, since each trilogy could be a 2-cour season.
By Shaft.

That was already done/
Twice
>>118874329
Edgy
The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha
I wanted to say The Count of Monte Cristo but it's done already
>>118874146
I want to say by Shaft, simply because I think the art style in Monogatari would be perfect for the Catcher in the Rye.
war and peace

Starship Troopers replace the cast with lolis. Bitches love lolis
>>118874755
this too
>>118875063
Why not Loli Prime?
>>118874755
But anon we already had an animated adaption of it.

Because cute girls killing space bugs for the greater good on mankind would sell. Who doesn't love little girls with big guns?
>>118874755
Great taste.
I would like this, picture related.

I'm reading this now. Just finished "the wolves of the calla" and now I need to look for "the song of susannah".
I think it would be pretty good as an anime. Not very popular, but good.
A Clockwork Orange by Studio 4C.

> talks about good taste
> posts a Halo novel
1984
With Bloom and Dedalus as moe and tsundere lolis, respectively.
>>118875141
Might as well warn you now, but the best is over.
Never reaches the level of the first four books again. Book 7 is good has quite a few good parts, given how long it is, but Song of Susannah is the weakest in the series .

>mfw you don't have guilty pleasures.
Also don't judge a book by its cover.
>>118875211
i'd rather see that as a live action miniseries really
>>118875155
Studio 4C needs to adapt amazing nuts.....
>>118875233
Yeah, I figured. My favourite one had to be "the wastelands" but I can tell it's not going to be going anywhere incredible. Might as well finish it anyway.
The whole "blaine the mono" part was totally straight out of an anime, only the finale was a dead baby joke instead of the power of friendship.
>cute lolis and shotas playing Eschaton
>handsome tennis boys doing drugs
>rehab clubroom drama
>gruesome AFR executions in glorious 1080p
>all that anime inside an anime
>Wayne and Hal's BL rivalry/romance
>>118874146
The story will be corrupted into treehugging bullshit about not harming nature and you know it.
Maybe add in themes about abandoning such silly childish dreams and joining the workforce instead. After all, its the fun memories that count.
>>118874146
catch 22 it would be perfect
>>118875272
but killing whales is ancient japanese tradition carried on today by the bravest japanese ronin

It would be awesome for sure.

Thank you /a/non at least someone understands. If done right I think it could be amazing.
Not like the movie, from Chief Broom's POV. I want to see how they'd do the hallucinations.
>>118875231
>Ulysses
>being adapted to anything
