The show in itself is okay/good for now, what makes it great however is its pacing/episode order, its by far the most daring and unique aspect of the work.
Usually a 12/24 episodes show which starts innocent but turns out to be dark uses dreams of doom/shocking deaths and other quick acting scenes to reveal its nature. YuYuYu don't. It has this soft eerie feeling that something will hit you, but you don't know what or when. And then it fucking hits you, multiple times.
It's a really neat direction which sadly is the reason why this show is going trough so many problems when it comes to sales, I mean, I'm fine with that, without it the show would not be as great, but what I fear is that this will just cause directors to use more standard choices instead of risking like YuYuYu
Though I'm optimistic about sales, the show has spent a lot of time on the top 10. I would be really overjoyed if this and Shirobako did well, the industry would receive a clear message.

That's what we have been told, but really Sonoko's loss of limbs and her face has not been fully explained. No one else has lost a body part, just the use of it. Did one of Sonoko's fairies fail and she get burned perhaps?
Even the Taisha's lies are not whole lies, there might not be anything physiologically wrong with any of the girls limbs or organs, this loss of function could happen entirely within the brain by killing just a few cubic millimeters of cells in the right locations. And that's the only thing that really explains how you lose memory. So the non-Taisha doctors see them and really cant explain what has happened. A good nurologist might but Taisha probably wont let them see one that isn't their own.
