Typically we give each other one 'selfish' gift (something that we want the other person to play/read/etc. but they might not enjoy), and a couple of things that aren't necessarily from each other's 'wish lists', but they ought to enjoy.
She's just started delving into VNs, so I figured I'd get her Planetarian as my 'selfish' gift. I already have two physical presents that she's sure to enjoy, but I was looking for another digital gift. She's a bit of a tomboy, and hovers nervously on the border between pretentious geek and actual geek. I was thinking Legend of Grimrock 2, but I'm not sure, since she lost interest in the first one in 'spider hell', where she simply could not progress through the combat (without help). Still, she loved the Myst series, so I think that it's an apt fit, since the second one is an improvement on the first, and has at least a hundred or so unique puzzles and secrets. She also eked out some insane number of hours out of FTL, enjoyed all the Telltale games, plays L4D with friends routinely, and played both Dark Souls games to the end. I'm just stuck on this last item for her.
