This is kind of why I never really liked Illya. Her characterization didn't make much sense... it was hard to believe she had good intentions later on, even when it seemed like we were supposed to believe she could get along with Shirou.
I could understand her coming around and warming up to Shirou eventually. But not in such a short span of time and such infrequent and often violent meetings.

Not really, she considers him special. Notice how she says when fighting Rin that she wants to keep Shirou alive. She more or less blames Shirou for what she went through because she believes Kerry left her alone for him. So, she does feel anger towards him but in the game she's somewhat curious about him which is why she approaches him and wants to talk. If you talk to her enough she grows to like you and becomes friendly, but if you forget your promises with her she gets angry and kills you. Kinda psychotic but then again who the fuck wasn't in this game.
