I couldn't take the "Authentic English Dialogue" seriously, and any time Japanese media tries to make fiction about American Government and Military is comes off as hollow and comical. Also,they fail to stop anyone from being killed until the end, making everything seem pointless.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of it is. Gosho did work on the latest movie, and he's said this in an interview:
