The annual income of anime people.
The true winner is seiyuu.
>>
>>117370231
That's some insane disparity.
But then again, most of the time animators aren't paid in 円
>>
Seiyuu are same as idol, most of them are starving but the really big ones swim in dosh.
>>
An animator earns the half a college student!?
Then why do they become an animator?

suffering
>>
Only crazy people become animators.
In short, anime is made by the crazy.
>>
>>117370974
They really, really like drawing.

I still want to know how they get by with that little cash.
>>
>>117371419
Then why don't they become a mangaka?
A successful mangaka earns more than seiyuu.
>>
>>117371665
>successful
That's the first problem
>>
>>117371665
It's harder to become a mangaka than an animator, anon.
>>
>>117371665
I don't know, less risk involved in being an animator?
>>
>>117371665
Drawing pictures isn't the only thing required in being a mangaka you know?
>>
>>117372134

It's easily the most important part. If Nisekoi is any indication, you can just throw together a bunch of cliches for your story and call it a day.
>>
>>117372072
less risk, but more competition
>>
Obligatory reminder is that "animator" most likely just refers to the mooks that draw all the in-between frames, a job that's usually just outsourced anyway.
>>
>>117372310
What competition, isn't the industry starving on good animators now because the wage is too little?
>>
>>117372411
He's talking about a greater risk in being a mangaka, I think.
>>
>>117372389
Pretty sure that's key animators average wage. Why would they have information of foreign studios?
>>
>>117372389
If anything, people probably become animators just to get practice drawing in anime style.

They're literally paying you just to draw the same shit over and over again, something a lot of artist do for free to get better.

It's like taking an internship before becoming a key animator/mangaka.
>>
I believe that number is for newbie inbetween animator. Ema is a key animator besides she can afford a place to stay without begging foreigners
>>
>>117370231
Yeah but everyone below director status is living in borderline poverty or actual poverty or worse, episode director is near poverty levels.
>>
>>117372754
And her apartment is depressing to look at with technically nothing in it beside a heater.
>>
>>117370231
Is this before or after taxes?
>>
>>117370231
>Everyone is living in poverty
>Meanwhile the character designer gets paid 50k a year just to draw one line and everyone is impressed by it

Living the dream, gothloli-san.
>>
>>117373053
Well, maybe if the animators got that line right to begin with they would get the money instead
>>
>>117370231
top kek.
Animator earn less than a production manager
My fucking sides
>>
>>117373657
>manager getting more money that labor workers
holy shit stop the presses
>>
>>117372540
>Pretty sure that's key animators average wage
The picture claims so but it's not. Google what in between animators earn in Japan and you'll find numbers like this.
>>
>>117372411
No, they have all the Koreans the need.
>>
You faggots should know that if you're an animator and if you work hard enough you can job change to a character designer, director, key animator, or assistant director and you'll eventually surpass the annual income of production grunts/seiyuu.
>>
>>117373754
Eh I meant Aoi, just a production assistant and a freshie just like Ema earning literally double of her.
>>
>>117373956
Yeah too bad it takes years before you can even make a living
>>
>>117373956
Or you could just become a salaryman and call it a day.
>>
>>117370231
How do you know which is which? Don't tell me everyone in this thread reads moon.

>pick a career that starts as slow and horrible as possible but with hardwork, determination, and luck, your name will be forever etched into the annals of the industry and you'll be swimming in the money of every fag that bites the shit that you put out

>pick a stable career that goes nowhere and has no eventual self fulfillment/achievement whatsover. Your very existence celebrates mediocrity itself.

Pick one in the gamble of life.

It's also why Oi-tan is a bit worried about her career path in the first few episodes.
>>
>>117374709
Just watch shirobako.
It's an average show in terms of a drama. But the depiction of anime industry is real and interesting.

Who would be a example of a Nana Mizuki tier seiyuu?

Kana Hana is not there yet but she is getting closer.

Miyuki Sawashiro is also pretty high up there.
>>
>>117375746
Wao, yen has really become weak recently.
Working in a US fast food is better than working as an animator in Nip land.
>>
>>117375905

First, the seiyuu has to actually be able to sing well, so I don't think the two seiyuu you mentioned qualify.
>>
>>117375905
Nana Mizuki and Yukari Tamura
>>
>>117375746
>The CG animator makes twice as much as the normal animator
Sure, the chief animator makes 2x more than the CG animator, but its still funny.
>>
>>117375746
Seiyuu works for multiple anime shows per year. Included with it are radio programs, movie dubbing, TV appearances, Ads, and singing.

Small anime studios work up to 4 shows per year.
>>
>>117376128
Everyone can draw with pencil and paper.
Not everyone know how to use a computer
>>
Animators are fucking insane
>>
>>117376193
More like they can pump out much more shit in a designated time so they get payed more.
>>
>>117370974
They can't afford the college fee.
>>
>>117375746
That's much more helpful. Thank you.
>>
>>117376193
Actually it's the other way around. It's much easier to learn CG than to actually have talent in drawing enough to reach the director's standards. It's even said in the show that it would be better if CG were to have that authentic influence that an actual (hand drawing) animator can give.

I still don't know why fucking nips treat animators as dispensable grunts whil they pay CG's higher, probably because CG can get shit done faster and in multitudes in a short amount of time.
>>
>>117374429
Welcome to any creative profession ever.

At least they get paid to draw shit over and over for hours on end. If you decided you wanted to be an artist you'd have to do it for free.
>>
>>117375746
>Faces of characters on the bills
Wonderful
>>
>>117370231
>cg animator pay
it's like they enjoy killing the industry

Until you miraculously get picked to do a gallery showing and hopefully someone buys a piece and/or you get commissioned to do a piece.
>>
>that feeling when you`re below the lowest pond scum in muh anymay paywise

Granted, I live in a shit country and work a deadend job for a soulless american corporation, but still.
