Is that the singer of Evanescence?
>>117334563
Have to agree with you. The most interesting art style besides ping pong I've seen during the past couple of years.

>>117334746
No, but that has got to be the most original comment I've seen on 4chan since 2007.

Shinkai Makoto works look absolutely stunning of course. I loved SAC artstyle since it added to the realism and the grittiness, but it had a record budget so I guess that's a given. CG looks still amazing 10 years later. I wish Psycho-Pass used something similar. Ping Pong looked fantastic, and reminded me of Kemonozume which also took time getting used to. Humanity has declined also comes to mind with its sort of dreamlike colours.
Ai no Kusabi
You lose your bet, I use OpenOffice softwares
Ai Mai Mi.

>but it had a record budget so I guess that's a given.
Season 1 actually had a much smaller budget and development time than they needed for the production, so they split the episodes off to main and secondary animation teams depending on how important they were. Some episodes, like Jungle Cruise, look noticeably worse than others.
Season 2 just looks amazing throughout

This.

Re-l is so cute. Too bad the animators forgot to draw her properly half the time.

It's been like 8 years since I watched that show. I'm not about to download it again to rip screenshots of each fuckup they made, but I remember the character art becoming increasingly questionable after the first episode, which I found really disappointing. Maybe they fixed it for the DVD or whatever, who knows. I imagine I'm not the only one who remembers this.

is there any anime like this?
Ping Pong
>>117339102
No.
Valkyria Chronicles anime had that funky cell shaded coloring though. And I think FFT war of the lion's cutscenes were employing a similar coloring style.
>>117335328
I'm not the most knowledgeable on new anime, but I think it's Ergo Proxy.
Source: check the filename.

What did you think of the style of the TV series?
>>117334387
Hyouka maybe? It wasn't particularly different or anything, it just looked really nice. Especially the sequences in a different art style.
Tatami galaxy looked pretty cool, too.
>>117339102
Oh Deer Lord, where are their noses?
>>117340013
Hyouka didn't deviate too much from regular KyoAni artstyle, it just had a movie like animation.
Literally the best.
Naruto's art style is comfy as fuckdon't hurt me doe.
>>117340221
>shitty, generic shounen

you don't know the meaning of the word you disgusting plebeian

Downloading now, thanks for that. Thought it was ninja scroll at first.
>>117334387
but I can't choose between so many art styles and anime
all styles are better for one thing than another, so shows that have mixed art styles are usually a lot more interesting to watch, because rather than shoving you same visuals all the time, the styles are used to describe the moods as well.
so for now I'll say sora no otoshimono since it did a good job in this, keeping to the core of it being entertaining.
Redline.

Anything made by Takeshi Koike, for example Redline.
