Even if Yuyuyu has dark elements we've been ruined. Part of the appeal of Madoka was it came out of nowhere. Hidamari Sketch style cutesy shojo looking series with the senpai getting beheaded.
The only thing that could shock us if it went Higurashi tier guro or added some plot twist like Bokurano.

On a scale between raw power and useful gimmick, she's the furthest on the gimmick side.
Yuuna is pure raw power, followed closely by Fuu and Karin, Mimori is somewhere in the middle and Itsuki far on the other side.
