If the parallels between himself and Itachi and now Sakura hold true, then I think there's a chance that they might turn out okay, as lame and awful as it sounds. Plus the two of them have roughly 2 years apart to really think things through considering The Last takes place that long after Sasuke sets out on his journey. As much as people hate Sakura for whatever reason, he must see something in her to reciprocate those feelings in his own profound way.
