Kaito cases are more or less the only reason I care about DC anymore. Black Organization stories can be interesting but half the time it's one question maybe answered and three more brought up because _________, like the most recent one where we had the Subaru/Akai thing finally 100% confirmed but then Gosho went and threw in the shit with ANOTHER fucking agent and also Bourbon's really some kind of triple agent or whatever so who he's REALLY working for is a new mystery that won't be addressed until two years down the road maybe.
Most of the one-off cases aren't interesting anymore and there's always the horrible possibility of one of them being a Detective Boys story. Plus Shinichi/Conan is just plain unlikable.
Kaito's a likable dude and his stories (both in DC and his own series) are a lot more fun.
