At this point, Mein is literally standing in a minefield of deathflags that's just begging to go up in smoke with the slightest misstep.
It's really too bad for Esdeath, because there's no way Tatsumi is going to tolerate her when she inevitably kills Mein and he goes full edgelord. It's very ironic that Tatsumi is slowly becoming more like Esdeath in terms of ruthlessness and vengeance as the series progresses while Esdeath is just ever so slightly becoming more compassionate.

I admit, I'm probably looking too much into it. But right now, Tatsumi understandably wants vengeance on the Empire for killing off nearly all of the friends he made. At the start, Tatsumi was extremely reluctant to kill his enemies, but that has since completely disappeared now. Now, he doesn't have any problem with ruthlessly killing as long they're his enemies. Which isn't that different from how Esdeath couldn't possibly be anymore generous to her friends and allies and is a ruthless and vengeful monster to everyone who isn't.
Meanwhile, Esdeath's Social Darwinist views are slowly beginning to crumble. She supposedly has no respect and sympathy for the weak. If you're weak, you die and the strong thrive. Just like Tatsumi got caught and is about to executed because of his weakness. Yet, here she is hesitating to finish off Tatsumi. If she saves him, she'll be going against everything she ever stood for because a Social Darwinist has no reason to ever save the weak.

Esdese vs Mine isn't going to be resolved in one issue. While their fight is going on, the rest of Night Raid will be making their way to take down the PM in the chaos. Along the way, they'll cross paths with Kurome, whom they'll have to fight. Either Najenda or Leone will leave solo to complete the mission. Whomever goes solo will find and kill the PM, but die in the process. While all that's going on, back with Mine and Esdese, Mine will find some way to release Tatsumi, who will try to break up the fight but will end up having to fight Budo. Wave will be useless as usual. Before Mine or Esdese can finish each other off, word will reach them that the PM is dead and that the revolutionary army has successfully seized the capital and are currently closing in on their position. Esdese, not one for noble sacrifices or fighting a pointless battle, will flee for the time being. Later on, Esdese, along with Wave and whatever else remains of the Imperials, will hunt Night Raid from the shadows. In the final showdown, everyone will die except Esdese and Tatsumi. I'm not certain if the author will have Tatsumi kill her or live happily ever after with her. That's still kind of up in the air.
