The 'medieval' upper part of the outfit clashes with the scifi legs.
I have no idea what's going on with the bottom of the boots but it looks weird.
The white/grey legs color clashes with the more natural colors of the rest.

well, i had it done by a professional manga artist. but that's the idea. i'm not trying to make something that has been done before. i figured a lot of manga/anime fans will not like whats new but it's what i'm going for.
now this is a very early idea of her but i doubt much will change. other than some clothing colors.

OP here. i figured there would be a lot of hate. but i actually expected it from 4chan. those that say "oh you arn't japanese! so it isn't manga" do you know what i hear? "you arn't white! you need to sit in the back of the bus!" so i'm not worried about that. and again, you all don't know the lore of my characters so the designs are fine. same with the names, there are a lot of anime with silly names. but so you all know i misspelled Emerald on purpose. in my story she will normally be called "Em, or Ema"
again, i'm shooting for something different. in most anime/manga i see today i see the same damn thing. high school, sudden GF, and japanese culture. not from this story. sorry for the change, but gambles are whats needed here.

While these aren't objectively horrible, their faces (especially the eyes) and expressions lean more towards standard /co/shit. Move away from Korra.
Not exactly a big fan of fantasy settings either, I dislike the ears. Why not make a straight-forward steampunk instead? With solid human characters that don't have a bushy tail to distract.

ok last one since i like real feedback! sadly i wanted more Moe from the artist i had this done. but he was set on doing this in his own style. these are concepts so they are set to change. but as for the fantasy setting. it's just what i like. i figured it's not everyone's cup of tea. but it's worth a shot. as for the tails and ears. these are the only 2 main characters that are non human. i figured i would get them done first. but i like the accent that tails give. the ears are a new twist i thought i would add. but again. it's all about peoples tastes
