StB is a battle harem series. The MC normally doesn't do things on his own in most critical times of a major battle. The girls help the MC whenever they can. Yukina is of course the main battle harem girl that always supports the MC, she has that reserved role. Even with this being the case, the MC does pretty much do most of the work and finishes off the major fights with his own power since only he is usually powerful enough to deal with the boss of the arc.

Most of the time he holds back because he can't fully control his Kenjuus, which are very powerful and can destroy the entire island if he doesn't have fine control over precision and output. The anime dose a horrible job at showcasing the Kenjuu's power, so it may not seem like a big deal in the show if he doesn't have adequate control.

Based on blood alone, he's a top tier vampire physically. But, vampires in the setting are actually killable by even conventional weapons if their regeneration got surpassed. A strong noble vampire who was a descendant to one of the Primogenitor got killed by rain of machine guns, so, yeah. Vampires are actually near the bottom of the demon chain in terms of body. They're immortal, but are quite frail and not physically strong as other demons. What makes them placed at the top though is their ability to summon Kenjuus. Without them, they wouldn't be top tier. Kojou is no different, even his hax regen is only because of his Kenjuu.
