The people who think the 90s was entirely beebop, eva, gundam, and other toonami shows without realizing that they were the minority even then and that the vast majority of shows every season even in the 80s and 90s were "moe" shows, adaptations, and flops. We get more serious, adult themed and older audience oriented shows every year, but they don't know about these and obsess that the 90s was some golden era of anime because they were only exposed to a very small portion of it as kids.

Thoroughly enjoyable anime, just through panache it sharpened up its quirks and characters to a mind-blowing edge. I've seen much more meaningful and sometimes more artistic animes, better quality animation and more endearing characters, sure. But this Dandy's aim was true; it encompassed the medium and made me kek it bad.
Watching space dandy makes me feel spoilt. It's everything and nothing.

I loved this series because each episode felt so distinctly different from one another, and it still managed to handle the B Story it had hidden in there all along quite well.
I really want an artbook and possible movie.
