There are a number of archives that are fairly complete for just the english translations and they have japanese versions if the english one is not available. People just download to make those archives more complete now just in case.

I assume you have been using GP (instead of credits) to download archives. You can buy more GP using credits at the credit exchange market. To get more credits, do the arena combats. If you don't have much training for increased drop rates, you might do them on easy mode just to get the completion credits quickly. I noticed that Tenboro adjusted the drop rates downwards on one feature as the nice gears that dropped frequently for me now rarely drop at all (All my drop rate trainings are over 50% of the way to being maxed). The gears at the harder settings can be worth selling sometimes, but more often it is trash worth 3K or less.

It makes no sense to ban people if they just come right back instantly to continue what they were doing. By making new accounts have a time delay, it makes them think twice about abusing the site especially if it also takes awhile to earn trust.
Dedicated abusers would just bot up 100 or more accounts and go through each of them though. So eventually Tenboro is going to have to resort to things like requiring a minimum mod level just because it takes both time and effort to get that mod level built up. But to make mod level not easily bottable, hiding the tag values is necessary. That's because bots will read the tag value and vote for "safe" values like a herd. Without the tag values, it becomes risky for them to just vote randomly since the vigs will downvote them a few times and then they will be in a downvote spiral. Only those who have been crushed know how much the downvotes build up, but tenboro likes sliding scales and in one post said when a vig downvotes you, the effect is substantial. -0.01 mod power --> -0.02 mod power --> -0.04 --> -0.08 --> -0.16 So if you had 5 tagging errors that would total up to -0.01 - 0.03 - 0.07 - 0.15 - 0.31 = -0.57 loss of mod power for those 5 errors. These numbers are wrong but are used to show the power of a sliding scale. A steep curve is needed to stop bots or else they will survive on a negative mod power. Max Joe said he doesn't see how an account with -5 would be unbanned, so I assume that is the ban limit.

Tenboro answered someone's question about botting, and it was pretty amazing how big the numbers are. 100 is actually small. Some may make 1000's of accounts in order to collect the daily credit reward, bot some HV, convert to GP, and then if it has enough, it downloads a gallery from the master list all the bots work from. The anti-bot HV puzzle has a sliding penalty scale that builds up pretty fast because after a failure, the puzzles occur more often and with bigger stamina penalties!
He's unable to zone ban the botters because that would basically mean banning the chinese users. A lot of the uploads are by chinese users and before anyone says "who cares", it needs to be pointed out that a lot of english translations are made from either chinese raws or from a chinese translation.... The site that copied +100,000 galleries of g.e-hentai.org with a bot script is NHENTAI.NET and it was mentioned on Reddit by its maker. So I am violating no secrecy rule by posting the name here.
Note that the site uses the resized images and not the fullsize originals. That's because e-hentai.org has a one image per minute max limit imposed upon your account once you hit your max download quota. That stops both script and bot users from downloading galleries and re-duplicating the site. Nhentai.net doesn't seem to have Sekret Sekret Club material, so most wani material is not available there.
