Episodic show about a black market mahou shoujo contractor trying to make a living in the lucrative mahou shoujo business. Unfortunately his powers don't really work that well so each one of his girls dies at the end of each episode.
One Day
The setting is an average school day. The protagonist finds himself going through a normal day, in which the characters are introduced. Banter and fun times take place.
After the protagonist goes to sleep, he wakes up in that same day. He slowly comes to the realisation that he's stuck in a time loop.
As each same day passes, the protagonist is capable of learning about more things which are going on in that day. There's a girl who is being bullied that he can save. He finds ways of setting up his friend with his friend's love interest. As he progress through each new day, he discovers that he's capable of managing his time to do more and more good deeds and thus fixing the lives of everyone around him.
The protagonist is also curious: what is causing the time loops? He eventually finds out that on that day his older sister was being raped that day and decided to kill herself. By a cheeky plot contrivance, the protagonist has already discovered that someone else was carrying mace with them - he's able to use that to prevent the rape of his older sister.
As the season comes to an end, he's finally able to pull off a 'perfect day'. He literally manages to fix everyone's problems perfectly in that last episode as it all comes together. The cour is over. The credits roll.There's a new episode out. The protagonist wakes up. The day has reset anyway. Soon the protagonist realises he's well and truly stuck in the time loop. His actions literally have no consequences. He slowly loses his grip on what being moral even means any more. Soon, he starts to do all sorts of horrible things out of morbid curiosity. Raping people. Killing people. Raping his friend's love interest in front of them. Burning down the school. By the final episode, he's no longer even getting out of bed. He's just staring at the ceiling, crying. Seeing the people he's killed worried about him causes him to vomit out of distress. Eventually he tries to commit suicide.
Yandere girl falls in love with a senpai who doesn't even know she exists. She sees a girl who looks to be a love rival, and starts befriending her to attempt to murder her.
She gets closer and closer and starts learning more of her problems, and in an attempt to get her guard down, starts murdering all her problems away (bully, thugs, loan sharks, etc.). With each and every murder, she starts to feel less and less hatred for her target, and starts to see her as a friend more and more.
Eventually friend finds out about yandere's murdering nature, and instead of freaking out about it, friend stays with yandere and resolves to get her out of trouble with the police who are after her. Both have a cry about it and friend uses all the resources she can to give yandere a new life by cutting & bleaching her hair, faking her old identity's death, and having her enlist in the military. Both share a hug and yandere gives up her murderlust rage and attraction to senpai now that she has a true friend.
Last scene is a couple years later where friend & yandere meet in a cafe and talk about life; yandere is now a lieutenant while friend has a family and job as elementary school teacher. They see senpai while hanging out, he's been reduced to a pasty, lanky salaryman with no future, and they laugh at how they almost fell for the guy back in high school.

MC is then introduced to a strange group of masked men and women.
They fight those who they call "The antagonists", beings who seem human but follow a secret agenda. Among their strange properties is the most notorious, they become doors when defeated. But not everyone can open said doors.

After eventually reaching this conclusion, the two of them make a promise. They will tell each their likes and hates, their daily schedule, everything about themselves, even their deepest secrets, to help each other in their crusade for love. For a long time it's been agreed that the center of Earth was a large iron core. This agreement is completely shattered when scientists manage to finally dig down to the core, only to discover an unimaginably large beating heart in the center of the world, shaking everything Mankind's known about Earth down to its very core.
And mysteriously of all, this massive heart is in an ridiculously large cavern, and in this cavern is a sprawling metropolis of cultists who defend and maintain this heart, who have never seen the surface of Earth even once.
The greatest minds in the world come together to try and learn what the fuck this is. Meanwhile, colonies on Mars also discover that the dormant Mars itself has a massive heart and its center, however it isn't beating, which is assumed to correlate to why Mars is inactive.
Strange occurrences happen, as many scientists, politicians, and theologians who have been big names in solving this mystery are assassinated one by one, with nobody to blame.
The MC is a scientist who used to be a soldier. He is almost assassinated due to his studies on this heart, but his skill allowed him to survive and identify his attackers as people wearing white garbs and red masks over their faces. Thinking that finding this group of assassins will help him in unlocking the secrets of the heart at the core of the Earth, the MC takes matters in his hands to find out who they are and track them down in a suspenseful sci-fi mystery drama. His friends and family get involved in the sense that they are kidnapped, and their lives are threatened if the MC continues "putting his nose in affairs above his understanding".
Does he continue, knowing that the people he loves' lives are on the line? Or does he falter, and desist all studies of this heart? The MC's on the verge of discovering something that Man was not meant to comprehend, and there are strange people willing to sacrifice everything to put the MC down.

Arising from the collective consciousness and memories of individuals is the Phantasia, a realm where each and everyone's darkest secrets, desires and memories manifest in all sorts of manners.
Because of the vulnerability of the consciousness of some individuals, entities from the Lower realms called demons tend to assault and corrupt the Phantasia through accessing the memories, desires and secrets of these persons, further corrupting them through Sin.
To fend off against the invasions of the demons into the Phantasia, various organizations, typically of a religious nature developed various mantras, spells, prayers and meditative techniques to access this realm and drive the demons out and destroy the "bait" that draw them in. Persons who undertake this task are known as dreamwatchers, the protectors of the very dreams, hopes, memories and consciousness of the whole of humanity. In the real world, they are seen as exorcists.
MC always had odd lucid dreams in realms he cannot describe yet understands after years and years of lucid dreaming that he had accessed some sort of realm that the very secrets, emotions, intentions and memories of his friends manifest in some form. His sensitivity to the Phantasia unfortunately makes him hunted by many organizations after a particular encounter with several dreamwatchers during one of his lucid dreams. To escape, he goes on a self exile by being a monastic in a faraway monastery, only to be enlisted into the Russian Orthodox Church's Dreamwatcher division, Sobornost.
Here, MC takes on missions not just for the Russian Orthodox Church but for the Russian state itself, from altering the memories of political rivals, spies to killing off individuals through destroying all memories, desires, secrets and their "Idea" that reside in the Phantasia. The true nature of the Dreamwatchers are now revealed, as a multiplicity of rival factions bickering against each other for control of the realm.

Tsun ends up defeating queen parasite at the end of the series. Tsun looks like she dies after her parasitic body fades away in cockpit, love interest cries for her super hard, but then tsun pops out of the robot in a brand new body that looks like her old one and they embrace.
Tsun retires from being a mech pilot and marries boy and they live happily ever after with 3 kids in a "15 years later" montage. Scene at the end shows daughteru fusing her hand into a toy truck at the end much to tsun's shock, implying the parasite has remained in her body genetically/tsun has become new parasite progenitor.

An Art Deco styled anime that rips off the plot of crying of lot 49
A nerdy kid and meteorology freak somewhere in the times before the internet is the only one to realize that it rains more often than explainable when he goes home from school.
He uses scientific methods and statistical measurements around town to track down the path of an elusive and mysterious local rain source which turns out to be some kind of weather/fertility god girl his age that lets it rain wherever she goes.
But that was the easy part, the hard part is befriending her!

The main character is a revered war hero and a magical swordsman in a high fantasy world, but after a nearly world-shattering battle of epic proportions that happened just a week before the first episode, the world has been experiencing constant tremors, not just in land but in the air too.
A council of mages and wizards deduce that the tremors are the aftermath of that fight, and the tremors will only grow worse until they consume reality. They devise a plan to send somebody to an alternate world to find a "Messiah", and because the world's tremors are a direct result on the MC's conflict with a previous villain, the council of mages and wizards command the main character to go through this portal into another world and face the unknown, alone.
He steps through the portal, and immediately sets foot in the middle of the busy streets of Tokyo infront of a charging, wheeled metal beast. The main character unsheathes his sword and tries to use his magic to slice the "beast" into atoms, but realizes his strength and magic doesn't work at all. The sword just dents the hood of the car.
MC wakes up in a strange room (hospital), and is immediately questioned by authorities once he gets better. MC tells the truth but hes seen as a nutjob. He escapes custody anyways and sets out to find a Messiah that could save his world, only knowing that this Messiah holds mystical powers and dominion over everything.
What the MC doesn't know is that this Messiah is a wimpy high school boy with no confidence and is completely unaware of his powers or destiny. They form a brotherly bond and MC has to literally beat this poor kid into believing in himself. They eventually go back to fantasy land and discover that getting rid of the tremors is far more complicated than just finding a messiah, and this messiah isn't as powerful as they thought he was. Now have to fight an incredibly powerful foe who eats dimensions and various realities.
I had an idea for an anime waaaay before that pixar movie Inside Out that was kinda similar and would never make it because it would just be a rip off of the concept.

He eventually calls his own number for shits and giggles only for it to answer back with the voice of a female.
He learns that she is in the exact same predicament that the MC is in and learn eventually that they are rule 63 alternate versions of themselves. Knowing this both start helping each other out in a world they have no knowledge of to eventually prevail over that world!

A 23 year old salary man decides on a whim to leave his life behind and explore the world for somewhere where he might truly belong and gets into tense situations with wild animals, strangers and even avalanches during his journey. As the story goes on he meets kind people along the way where he tells his life story starting from his early childhood all the way up to when he moves out and get a salary job. It shows a typical strict family setting where in the end the protagonist feels locked up by them and never able to pursue his dream of becoming an artist but realizes that he abandoned them in revenge when they only tried to help him be successful but couldn't relate to his dreams. In the end he realizes that he made a mistake leaving his family behind and goes home to clear things up with them and have them understand his passions and interests while promising to never leave his family's side because they're the only family he has.
So think of Walter Mitty mixed with a typical self-exploration and acceptance story.

A man finds a lamp while venturing in Egypt, and when rubbed, a beautiful bell-dancing genie pops out. She demands for the man to speak 3 wishes to be granted, and for his first wish, he demands the genie to become an employee at his casino back in Tokyo. Once back in the casino, the man keeps the lamp in storage and decides to never use his 2 other wishes to keep the genie his immortal, never overworked, loyal employee.
The genie is completely pissed off by this turn of events, and eventually finds solace in her co-workers, who are all motel-dwellers who are underpaid. As they go on in their career in the casino, the genie's presence spurs the visitation of magical creatures and demons to the casino, who the workers get into wacky shenanigans with and try to out-gamble to afford better homes and well-being.
Series eventually climaxes in a big casino heist against the owner, who hired some demons and wizards n' shit to his staff to prevent heists and shit, and after cleaning out the casino's profits and getting the genie's lamp back, they all move to Kagoshima and start their own, far cleaner casino business, with the genie as the boss.

There's nothing inherently wrong with the genre, but a lot of times, LN and WN authors abuse this to cheat around the limitations of the setting.

A guy and a girl are on a date in a museum when they decide to duck into an unlocked closet to make out. However, inside the closet was an ancient artifact that they knocked off the shelf and broke. This artifact turns out to have been sealing a minor demon who had been confined for playing too many pranks on humans. As "thanks" for freeing her, the demon gives the young couple a curse. Once a day if they kiss, they'll swap genders. This curse is not limited to them kissing each other, nor does it require a kiss on the lips. All it requires is an act that can be even somewhat interpreted as a kiss to be performed by or on them. Even so called indirect kisses count. The curator of the museum finds out about what they did, and reveals he's actually a descendant of the priest who sealed the demon. He tells them the only way to break the curse is to recapture the demon before she brings chaos to the world.

Plot: Protagonist is a girl who has a father that is a scientist and a mother that has been dead for 10 years. Down in the basement is a weird machine that her father has worked on strictly for the past few years. She is forbidden to ever go near it.
One day while looking for something in the basement, she finds a locked door she's never seen before behind a bunch of junk down there and tries to open it. She accidentally falls back and hits her head as she activates the machine behind her and blacks out. When she wakes up, she sees another version of herself standing over her. A clone. Her father, at first furious, explains that the machine is indeed a cloning machine, and that the clone is unstable. He says they will have to wait to see how long until they dematerialize, which turns out to be about a week. The clones that die however, feel no pain and don't remember their deaths. The daughter secretly begins to clone herself every now and then to help her out with her life of being an average high school girl.
Enter a season of wacky comedic clone shenanigans, until the final two episodes when the tone dramatically shifts...

The daughter starts to feel weaker and weaker, her hair starts falling out and to her horror her skin is peeling away. She rushes to her father who is shocked and reveals he thought she wouldn't dematerialize for another 6 months. It turns out SHE herself is a clone that has been alive for 2 years, and the only reason the other clones die quicker is because they are being cloned from a clone's DNA. The daughter quietly asks who she is a clone of, and the Father brings her down to the basement, and opens the locked door. A corpse falls out. His dead wife. The one who died over 10 years ago.
Unable to bear with her death, he decided to clone her to bring her back to life. It worked, sort of. The clone that came out of the machine was a baby, that started to dematerialize after a few months, so the father mixed the clone's DNA with the mother's, and out came a 2 year old kid. He kept repeating the process until eventually the clone is finally back to the Mother's previous age. The daughter begins to scream in horror at the revelation, until her mouth slowly falls off. She slowly dies realizing she will be cloned once more after she dies, and there's nothing she can do to stop it.
One week time skip, shows the father happily kissing his new "daughter" and wishing her a good day at school, while the clone stands there quietly, and glances at the basement, ambiguous as to if it remembers everything up to the previous clone's death.

This is, however, just a vague definition of these entities that inhabit the vibrant world of Nushishi, as to even call them a form of code would be an oversimplification. Detailed information on Mushi is scarce because the majority of humans are unaware of their existence. So what are Mushi? Where did they come from and why do they exist? This is the question that a "Mushi-shi," Ginko, ponders constantly. Mushi-shi are those who research Mushi in hopes of understanding their place in the world's hierarchy of life. Ginko chases rumors of occurrences that could be tied to Mushi, all for the sake of finding an answer.

The MC is a young girl living with her widowed father in a small village on a coastal pasture near a vast desert. The desert stretches out for countless miles to the south and is completely devoid of life. Any living thing that ventures in there suffers what's known as mana depletion and dies within 24 hours. Even the seas to the south are as barren as the desert. Every so often though, a lookout spots something in the desert, the corpse of a person wearing strange clothing that when recovered is found not to have died of mana depletion, but simple dehydration. However, the MC, while mapping the encroachment of desert on the villages pastures sees something moving in the desert. Ignoring her own safety, she races out and finds a young girl, on the brink of death, wearing the same strange clothing as the corpses. She brings the girl back to her village, and the people there help nurse her back to health. Before long, the mysterious girl has recovered enough to be up and about, but it turns out she has no memories from before the MC rescued her. At this point soldiers arrive to take the girl into custody. The MC flees with the girl, and the two flee the town. Before they go, the MC's father tells her a secret he kept from her. Her mother was also a mysterious girl who had been found in the desert, and wasn't dead, but instead had been taken into custody. The MC and her mysterious companion set out to uncover the secrets behind this world and their true origin.

A 24 episode comedy/ecchi consisting of episodes only 14 minutes long about a group of school girls who've all fallen in love with the same boy, and this boy is locked up in juvenile detention for an unexplained serious crime.
The five girls team up and put their minds together and come up with crazy ridiculous schemes to attempt to break their husbando out of jail in every episodes, but ultimately they fail spectacularly in every single way. From trying to dig under the juvenile detention hall to hijacking cranes with wrecking balls, to even going as far to making shitty junkyard mechs, watch our girls fail spectacularly.In the final episode they get arrested for repeated attempts at breaking in, and finally get to be with their lover, only to find out he's gay.
