The point of the fight was to give a physical representation of Shirou and Archer's ideological conflict. Archer didn't lose because he was an inferior fighter, he lost because Shirou didn't give up on his ideal and kept fighting knowing he couldn't win. Archer fought with less and less tenacity as the fight wore on because he realized he'd been denying his past ideal, his reason for existence and wanted to lose and be proven wrong.

Shirou barely won in the VA. He was fighting an Archer who was at the verge of death and was still getting owned. Shirou was cut to the point where he should have passed out from the wounds but continued to fight through will alone. Despite this, Archer was growing increasingly envious of his resolve until he finally lost. That was their difference. Not this bullshit where Shirou is this complete badass who can not only rival Qrcher but overcome him as well. Remember how in the anime when simply making a sword wqs taking a deadly toll on Shirou by this point? Neither does anyone else
