I talked to Jacob and confirmed it myself, one of the advantages to being a fairly neutral party in the whole matter is that I can get a good outlook at both sides and come to my own conclusions. The artists, Fakku and the publishers each get a cut of the content sold, Jacob has been in contact directly with some pretty major artists as well, not just publishing companies. Do some research before you so ignorantly choose a single-sided bias without any hard evidence. Hentai publishers aren't the music publishers that we have in the western world, they do give a decent amount of their profits to the artists, and in this case, artists are getting a direct cut.
You know what I like about this? If all the popular artists get bought and no one uploads their stuff, it gives more new artists a chance to see their stuff uploaded more.

The logical thing that will happen is that Fakku runs a monopoly on certain publishers, but miscellaneous torrent sites will pop up with the content anyways. The downside is that we can't 'preview' the content and it will be more difficult to search for the keywords that we want, but I don't see Fakku making any more money from this. I'm not the kind of shill that wants to jew everyone out of their money, I want to support open content as much as I can, but I also want to at least make some small effort to support whatever is legal as well, along with the artists producing the content I enjoy so much.
There's a cost to get the rights for releases, there's a cost to print them, there's a cost to translate them (typesetter, editor, translator, all being paid legal wages). Realistically, even at the "excessive" physical copy prices and the not-so-excessive digital prices, Jacob will have to sell a fairly good amount of copies to even break even on a single release.
You guys keep comparing the prices to shit you would find at Comiket, untranslated and censored, in the origin country. It's not a legitimate comparison and doesn't provide any decent backing to your arguments.
Like I said, most of you don't even know what's going on, you're jumping off cliffs into oceans of ignorant assumptions.
But those are my opinions and my word, don't take it as the truth and at least try to do some of your own research, maybe your opinion will stay the same, maybe it will change; either way, at least it will be an opinion brought on through intelligent conclusion, not mob mentality.
