Are there any gestures that piss you off when they are used in anime? Or is it the other way around and you like them?
How do you feel when somebody uses typical anime poses and gestures in public?
The best is when the cut is done so that you see it through the camera lens and it's shaping up to be a good candid shot and then they notice and immediately do a double piece with a big ol grin instead. Like "hah, you thought you'd get a candid shot of me but you get this cliche pose instead."
So here's a question, how popular is Mach GoGoGoin Japan? I've always kind of figured it's not as important or culturally memorable to them as Speed Racer was to North America. I know it's kind of a legacy being part of Tatsunoko and it got a recent shout out in Yattaman, but otherwise it doesn't seem to come up much anymore.
The 90's series was pretty rad, but I think that's the last real time Japan had any love for Mach GoGoGo, whereas Speed Racer went down in pop culture largely due to timing and localization.
Did Type-Moon lose it's charm over the years?
>Q: You’ve said that too many young animators are otaku (obsessed fans) who have little real-life experience. All they know is the world of anime.
>A: That trend still exists and it takes away from the power of Japanese animation and manga. It was inevitable, though. I managed to work for 51 years with just paper, pencils and film. My wife told me the other day that I should be thankful for that.’You’re a lucky man,’ she said. My son’s generation and the one coming up after can’t work with just paper and pencils any more so I can’t tell you how that’s going to turn out. I managed to avoid using a computer. I don’t even have a cellphone. I feel lucky I managed to live like that. (laughs)
>Q: The Tokyo Festival is screening a Hideaki Anno retro this year. Not long ago your producer, Toshio Suzuki, said Anno would be the leader of the Japanese animation industry for the next ten years. Do you agree?
>A: Anno is a friend of mine so I wish him the best of luck. It will be hard work though. The kind of animation he loves, made with paper and pencils, is dying. I still plan on doing small projects with paper and pencils, but no more feature films.
I wish this old faggot would shut the fuck up.
How come every old employee in the industry mostly the one who have influenced it start criticizing the industry they've worked for but never tried to change it despite complaining its full of otakus or moeshit or the VA's sound like whores.
>Anno is a friend of mine so I wish him the best of luck. It will be hard work though. The kind of animation he loves, made with paper and pencils, is dying.
Then why are the Rebuilds full of shitty CGI?
>Arpeggio of Blue Steel
>WWII tanks instead of ships
Would you watch it?
Arpeggio works because the overpowered aliens only occupied the seas, so humans can still survive on land. I don't really see that working with tanks, so they would have to change more things to make it work. Probably wouldn't end as Arpeggio with tanks.
What if yuuta never loved Rikka and falls for Nibutani instead?
Deko vs Yuuta would have been amazing to watch.
Are you ready?
A series you're interested in has an anime and a manga. The manga came out first and is way ahead of the anime.
Do you read the manga or watch the anime?
I used to watch the anime first, but ever since I started reading manga, I try my best to stick entirely with the manga unless it came out first as an anime. TTGL is a good example of this.
You can actually pinpoint the moment her heart breaks.
Chaika goes in all fields.
New Episode soon!
Does anyone have a hi-res scan of pic?
It was first posted during the first season and i've been looking for a good scan of it to surface.
Not sure if this is going to get any discussion, but worth a shot.
Oregairu and Ponkan8 win their respective brackets in first place.
Heaven or Hell?
I'm halfway the first Amagami series and HOLY FUCK WHY IS SAE SO FUCKING PERFECT!?
Dat shyness, dat voice, dat bust.
Is there anyone,in any form of media, who has the power to beat saitama?
