I don't mean this as shitposting, I don't browse /a/ that often and this is a sincere question
Is there a reason that a lot of anime views Americans as the enemy, bungling blowhards, or a big brother (1984) type entity? I would guess it can be traced back to the ending of WWII but I'm sure you guys know more than me.
Pic somewhat related.
Hey /a/, I am looking for Japanese speakers/readers.
Recently my Grandfather passed and I came to possess a bunch of his artifacts from his service in the U.S. military. One of these is a World War 2 Imperial Japanese Flag with kanji writing on it. For reasons I've mentioned in the original thread:
I no longer wish to hold onto this artifact, but I would like to learn a bit about it first, and to do that I need help getting it translated. Hopefully the text contains enough...

Can tsundere violence against a perverted protagonist be justified?
Yes, but in most cases the level of violence doesn't match the weight of the crime. Luckily that isn't a problem with Shizuka and Rance
Are twintails the superior anime girl hairstyle?
If you wear twintails you will become the little girl
Ayatsuji san is: _______
I just want to know what happens on the Dark Continent, why does he have to do this to us?

Epic meme reddit.
I liked it
How's that backlog going, /a/? You gunna be nice and cleared out for the new year?
I finally got started on Escaflowne. I'm honestly shocked at how much I'm liking it so far.
An anime simply does not have the right to have a sound track this good, much less in the case of a song where the vocals are literally just the name of the fucking anime over and over.
What have you been clearing off the backlog lately, /a/?
You mean of the series I planned to read or watch at the start of this year? Nope, not even those. Just finished Cat Soup since it's probably one of the few things I actually have time to finish.
>haru chapter hype
Just watched this, it was shit. Weirdly paced, so much filler and asspull ending.
Why did everyone scream and squeak so much?
It would've been superior to Madoka if it wasn't for the contrived-as-fuck ending. That was some Mai Hime tier bullshit at the end. Made all the struggles leading up to it a complete waste.
Feelings about Lamias in general?
What expectations do you have from Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016?
The Visitor arc aka Murrika BTFO got manga adaptation this month, as expected oniisama is being handsome yet again, this time posing with his Haori.
Onii-sama, the very embodiment of Yamato-damashii along with his Yamato nadeshiko imouto, are now fighting against new gaijin threat just few months after the great purging of Chinese-Korean threats, the new enemy is the burgerland.
New anime season probably coming soon.
The art is better than Yokohama arc at least.
