Another quality thread to neo-/a/.
We're breaking record tonight.
Why is Mono no Aware the best genre to come out of Japan?
Pic related and I suppose Mahou Tsukai no Yome are amazing and I can't really say why.
Because it's the only one that other countries didn't seem to understand. At least not until that novelist took it to the world or something.
>tfw realizing the transience of all things
Could Spirit Circle be considered Mono no Aware?
>>135296417
It was something that wasn't understood by the name but the feeling is universal.
Could we agree that Ninja Slayer is the best anime of this year?

Shit taste.
Luvia is a Finn.
Finns are sarcastically "100% European genes" i.e. part Asian.
Rin pleases old men for money. Rin is Asian. Luvia shares genes with Rin, therefore Luvia pleases some old men for money.
Furthermore, Luvia is a Finn and all Finns are spurdo sparde.
Therefore.
> Luvia bleeses auld men vor monies :DDD
Since Luvia shares Rin's whorishness and as a huge distinctly Finnish whorishness, she is more than a whore than Rin.

Japan actually calls it a miraculous comeback. It was literally on the border of death and yet been climbing up for a while now.
Hopefully excluding the animeonlys will cut down on the cancer.
What was your favorite two page spread?
Do you think any artists either improved significantly or dropped the ball hard?
Any new entries you've enjoyed significantly?
What was you're overall MOTY?
Talking only about manga, or chapters released this year in Japan? You're going to have to be a bit more specific about your criteria for MOTY?
More particularly, I'm not sure how much manga is in English from this year. Or how many Japfags there are here. It's not really a promising number.
Voynich Hotel would have to be my winner.
It's been quite a long journey and it was a fantastic read all the way through.
I read a bunch of yuri shorts this year too but I don't remember most of them because of my shitty memory.

>quite a long journey
Full of 12 page chapters. Fucking Dowman. I dumped quite a few of them through the years. But look for Dowman fags these days, and it's a hell of a lot harder. /a/ and manga seem to be less and less of a thing, much to my own dismay. I'm glad I got to see the end with some of you fags though.
OHH, SO NON DES KERRR?
Even if you start out with Kate, you likely won't get any replies because this isn't a popular show. I just wanna thank the heavens that the manga was picked up again.
I like cats.
Tried to watch the first episode and didn't really get anything
Maybe I'm too late for this show
>more anime watched than manga read
I hope some of you aren't like this.
>>135291849
I'd rather watch an anime as it satisfies both visual and audio preferences versus the medium of text which is just visually pleasant. However, the way you consume media is certainly up to you and I hope you enjoy it
I've read 7 times more manga than I've watched anime.
So a few days ago I finished Night on the Galactic Railroad, which was actually really good and surreal.
I watched its two sequels, Life of Budori Gusko and Spring and Chaos. Gusko was okay, but left things sort of wide open; Spring and Chaos is actually better than Galactic Railroad imo. It has a better ending, not as sad, and was easier to follow.
Think there will ever be any more sequels along those lines? I'm falling in love with the characters and plot.
>>135291712
not if this thread is any indication

>Life of Budori Gusko
>Spring and Chaos
How did I miss these? Will watch.
Frankly I tihnk NotGR is given too much credit, it's well made, but makes very little sense if you aren't already familiar with Kenji Miyazawa.
>>135292930
;-;
>>135293081
I heard it was mostly based off Miyazawa's experience on either a train ride to Sakhalin when he was feeling lonely. I'm new to animu, so I haven't heard much about him either.
Watch Spring and Chaos first, Gusko tries too hard to be steampunk. I had to try to like it.
What went wrong?
It's that supposed to be plastic memories? What went wrong is the fact that it was a dull series, albeit one with an excellent finale.
Felia stopped being a loli and pic related happened.
8-bit delivered a product on par with their other works.
