Watching Space Brothers and just got to this moment. I haven't smiled this hard at an anime in my entire life.
Can we just post happy moments?
OH THANK GOD
How do you feel about characters that spare/only use non-lethal attacks on enemies that show clear intent to kill them?
Do you think this helps keep the show's atmosphere lighter and more enjoyable or is it something that detracts from the show but is more suitable for younger audiences?
the non-killing of enemy combatants is what marks them as being "good guys." If they started wiping out anyone that raised a hand to them they would be labeled "edgy and grimdark"

Why is this allowed?
NEVER EVER thread. Post things that will never, ever get the adaptation they deserve.
Bonus points for things that already have shitty adaptations or are original series
The source is already shit and you know it doesn't even deserve an anime but it has a special place in your heart all the same

This, a million times. The madhouse TVA was terrible outside of the OP/ED and voice cast. A reboot in the style of the OVAs that follows the manga to the end would let me die a happy man.
Could have been Texhnolyze-tier by the end, but that was all squandered miserably.
Also, if there's a hell I'm pretty sure I'm going there for repeatedly fapping to the part with the soldier and the loli.
Does /a/ like belts?
Chapter 15 is out. Ready for this thread to die before I wake up tomorrow.
Puppy winning the Rat when?
I think it is his first work when I checked his name when this came out and I agree, his art is very nice and all the girls look cute.
Cat is of course the best but dog is great as well.
Is this the greatest love story ever told?
ITT: manga that give you an existential crisis
So I just watched this japanese film called Love and Pop. It had some really interesting visual direction so I was interested in checking out what other things the creator worked on. Turns out he's mainly known for his work in animation, he even made Evangelion which I know is really popular.
My question is, how does his direction on love and pop compare with his other works. I haven't really seen any anime besides some stuff that aired on tv when I was a kid like Sailor Moon, Dragonball or Pokemon, but I'm open minded and willing to check it out if it's...

Nadia, Gunbuster, and Evangelion are all very highly praised shows. If you do end up watching Evangelion make sure you dont watch the rebuilds and that after the series you watch the End of Evangelion movie.
Also people might give you shit for posting a rec thread here and tell you to go to >>>/wsr/. The only reason I didnt it cause it was a well writted post and was a decent question. Not just "MORE LIKE LOVE AND POP"
Thanks. I was wondering what are some differences and similarities between the two though. Besides the fact that those are animated and love and pop is not.
Ok, I didn't know. As I mentioned I don't really watch animation so I never go on this board. But I didn't get much response on /tv/. I figured the guy is a lot more known for his animated work.
every time i go back to air gear to skim through art, i see another spread that just looks so slick
