i really need an extensive guide/tutorial about 3dmax studio.

i have to finish an interior design project and i have to do it using 3dmax, i was used to sketchup but the finality of the project is doing something photorealistic.
the CAD of the room is ready and i have all the measures and color of furniture, i have to 3d model and render the scene.
the final results should be something like the picture related.

any suggestion?
thanks

nothing?

>the finality of the project is doing something photorealistic.
are you implying that this render is ?
>>
>>519075
obviously
>>
>>519076
you wont get far in this industry thinking that
>>
>>519079
you can clearly say that it's a render, but it's a quite good one.

anyway as i've already said i'm a noobie, for this reason i need a guide

That render isn't good. The materials are simplistic (zero bump, no variation in reflectivity and glossiness), and the shadows are splotchy.

The tutorials on viscorbel.com will have you doing better work than that within a week if you put in the time and stick with it. Some of the approaches are a bit outdated, but he covers pretty much everything.

If you want to go the extra mile in terms of realism look at Bertrand Benoit's written tutorials or Grant Warwick's VRay courses.

thank you very much
>>
>>519094
note that >>519091 also is a bad render, just not as bad and grant warwick is a hack

kek
>>
>>519095
Post a good render then. Maybe also explain why you think Grant is a hack and name someone who you think is actually good?

>>519096
Lots more "photos" on Bertrand's site: http://bertrand-benoit.com/blog/norsouth/
>>
>>519096
that's very obviously not a photo. get your eyes checked or get a better monitor
>>
>>519101
you sure about that?

This is just about the best you'll see in commercial renders. Better renders exist but they usually take longer than what is economically viable.

This is an example of something that I would say looks a bit more photorealistic.

>>Photorealistic

Or are you trying to say cameras don't have DOF?
>>
>>519186
>>519187

>uses ridiculous amounts of dof to smooth over any actual definition in the scene
>muh photorealism

Get rekt plebs

Michael Feuerroth actualy did a pretty neat little making of for that particular vizualization: http://www.ronenbekerman.com/making-of-ouverture/

That's actually where I got this from.

>bikes hanging on walls
Do people really do this?
>>
I swear this board has some of the biggest faggots, just throwing shit at everything they see with their cynic, shit-stained googles.
>>
>>519645
Inspired by Signfield, no just kidding, when people have very little space it is the easiest solution to hang it.
>>
>>519650
dude you have to realise that only the best of the best in le industry come here. the WIP thread clearly proves this. all the magnificent blob monsters and viewport screenshots are just awe-inspring.
>>
>>519651
that attic is unrealistic. Anyone that's lived in one knows that theres tons of insulation up there and it generally looks horrible. You're never able to see bare wood like in the render
>>
>>519661

Yup. Came here when I was a polymodeling shit stain with opinions.

First time here in months, and jesus christ, everyone was like me.

Nobody can do anything outside of maya or blender, but they have opinions.

paint it white and wear it down a bit and there you go
