Working on a project for school. Have to write my name on a brick wall using a flamethrower, essentially charring my name onto the wall. I'm having trouble figuring out how exactly to go about the charring. Making it look like it's actually being written with the flamethrower.
Any tips? Suggestions?

do you have the flamethrower? or know how to make it? are you a beginner?
you can attach the cam following (target) the flamethrower so it will look like a fps game (and you avoid any character animation)
the name on the wall isn't hard if you know after effects. but the hardest will be simulating the fire particles (i have render a few fire/smoke simulations using turbulencefd for c4d and it's kinda tricky)
